Serving Buffet from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday. A choice of salads are available Monday – Friday on site.
Everyone is WELCOME! Suggested contribution for individuals 60 years old or older, and their spouse (regardless of age) is $3.25 for the meal. Individuals who are not yet 60 are WELCOME but need to pay $4.25 for their meal. If you are just coming for the activity, the suggested contribution is $1.00. Carryout meals are available. We deliver meals to Vinton, Newhall, Urbana, and Garrison/Mt Auburn. The suggested contribution is $3.50/meal if you are 60 or older. For those under age 60, the suggested contribution is $4.25 for home delivered meals. We also have nutritious frozen meals and liquid supplements. Delivery is throughout Benton County. Please call by 10:00 AM daily to cancel a Home Delivered Meal. For more information about services, please call 319-472-4761, or to reserve a table for groups of three or more. Please help us recruit more people to join the 4th St Diner Meal program. All contributions are used toward the continued operations of the meal site.
Each month the 4th St Diner has a special day set aside to celebrate birthdays for that month. It is always scheduled for the second Tuesday of each month. Anyone having a birthday for that particular month is encouraged to make a reservation for themselves and any guests they would like to celebrate with. The names of all birthday celebrants who have made a reservation for the Birthday Table are entered into the door prize drawing. We currently have two door prizes scheduled for each month. The first is $5 in Vinton Unlimited Value Dollars generously donated by Vinton Unlimited. The second is a gift certificate for a free 4th Street Diner meal. Reservations for the Birthday Dinner table can be made by calling 472-4761. Reservations need to be made by 10:00 AM on the day of the celebration.

On Monday, August 25th, games of pepper cards were played. After the games, refreshments were served by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.
On Tuesday, August 26th, Bob Hauser provided the afternoon musical entertainment.
On Wednesday, August 27th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Wendy Pennington was the volunteer caller. Ruth Wieditz handpicked the games. Game one was a Goal Post with Evelyn Greenwood as the winner. Game two was a 12-Pack with Norma Ellis as the winner. Game three was Wild Number Three Bingos with Don Dill winning. Game four was Four Postage Stamps with Don Dill, Norma Ellis, Oma Eckhart and Mae Wilhelmi winning. Mae Wilhelmi won game five with Blackout.
On Thursday, August 28th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Vickie Holst was the volunteer caller. Hazel Eastwood handpicked the games. Game one was a 6-Pack with George Eckhart winning. Game two was Wild Number Three Bingos with Elsie Knaack and Lorraine Fix as the winners. Game three was Stair Steps with Elsie Knaack as the winner. Game four was Four Postage Stamps with Elsie Knaack winning. Lorraine Fix won game five with a Blackout.
On Friday, August 29th, the afternoon activity was a 500 Card party. After the games, refreshments were served by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.
On Tuesday, September 2nd, the afternoon activity was Surprise Bingo. Maureen Haisman was the volunteer caller. Marion Isbell handpicked the games. Game one was a 9-Pack with Ruth Wieditz winning mini candy canes and a purse. Game two was a Crazy “T” with Marion Isbell winning body wash. Game three was Wild Number Three Bingos with Elsie Knaack winning a billfold. Game four was the Letter “L” with Hazel Eastwood winning toothpaste. JoAnn Roster won a free meal on game five with a Blackout.
On Wednesday, September 3rd, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Norma Ellis was the volunteer caller. The games were handpicked by Viola Calvert. Game one was a 9-Pack with George Eckhart winning. Game two was Four Postage Stamps with Gerri Shaffer winning. Game three was the Letter “X” with Evelyn Greenwood winning. Game four was Stair Steps with Marion Isabell winning. Oma Eckhart won game five with a Blackout.
On Thursday, September 4th, the afternoon musical entertainment was provided by Riggle/Roster Music.
On Friday, September 5th, games of 500 cards were played. Bill Milne won 1st place with 2,920 points. Margaret Fuehrer won 2nd place with 2,620 points. JoAnn Jones won 3rd place with 2,340 points. After the games, refreshments were provided by the Card Club. HACAP provided the beverages.
