Serving Buffet from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM, Sunday thru Friday. Everyone is WELCOME! Suggested contribution for individuals 60 years old or older, and their accompanying spouse (regardless of age) is $3.25 for the meal. Individuals who are not yet 60 are WELCOME but need to pay $4.25 directly to the site manager for their meal. If you are just coming for the activity, the suggested contribution is $1.00. Carryout meals are available.

Hot Home Delivered Meals are available Sunday thru Friday in Vinton. The suggested contribution is $3.75/meal if you are 60 or older. For those under age 60, the suggested contribution is $4.50/meal. Please call by 10:00 AM daily to cancel or add a Home Delivered Meal. For more information about services, please call 319-472-4761, or to reserve a table for groups of three or more. We also have nutritious frozen meals and liquid supplements; delivery is available throughout Benton County.

All contributions are used toward the continued operations of the meal site.

Each month the 4th St Diner has a birthday celebration on the second Tuesday. Anyone having a birthday for that particular month is encouraged to make a reservation for themselves and any guests they would like to celebrate with. The names of all birthday celebrants who have made a reservation for the Birthday Table are entered into a drawing for a free 4th Street Diner meal. Reservations for the Birthday Dinner table can be made by calling 472-4761 and need to be made before 10:00 AM on the day of celebration.

On Monday, November 17th, games of pepper cards were played. After the games, refreshments were served by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.

On Tuesday, November 18th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo with Linda Lough as the caller. Game one was “BO” with Delane Kalina winning. Game two was a “Dog Bone” with Viola Calvert & JoAnn Roster as winners. Game 3 was “I & G” with Hazel Eastwood as the winner. JoAnn Roster won Games 4-“Letter N” and 5-“Blackout”.

On Wednesday, November 19th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Delane Kalina was the volunteer caller; Ruth Wieditz handpicked the games. Game one was the “12 Pack” with Ruth Wieditz & JoAnn Roster winning. Game two was the “Wild # with 3 Bingos” with Jack Oliphant as the winner. Game three was a “Crazy T” with JoAnn Roster winning. Game four was “Frame the Free & Four Corners” with JoAnn Roster winning. Ruth Wieditz, Jack Oliphant and Marion Isbell winning game five-“Blackout”.

On Friday, November 21st, the afternoon activity was a 500 Card party. There were four tables of players. Marlys Finzen won first place with 4,080 points. Merle Roths won second place with 3,090. Third place went to Margaret Fuehrer with 3,040 points. After the games, refreshments were served by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.

On Monday, November 24h, the afternoon activity included games of Pepper. After the games, refreshments were served by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.

On Tuesday, November 25th, we were musically entertained by Bob Hauser and Harold O’Deen.

On Wednesday, November 26th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Wendy Pennington was the volunteer caller; Delane Kalina handpicked the games. Game one was “Stair Steps” with Esther Novotny winning. Game two was the letter “X” with Delaine Kalina winning. Game three was “BO” with JoAnn Roster and Jack Oliphant winning. Game four was “IG” with Hazel Eastwood winning. JoAnn Roster and Norma Ellis won the Blackout game.

The site was closed November 27th and 28th for the Thanksgiving Holiday.

On Monday, December 1st, the afternoon activity included games of Pepper. There were three tables of players. Hazel Eastwood won 1st place with 291 points. Don Selken won 2nd place with 251 points. Lois Romman won 3rd place with 221 points. After the games, refreshments were served by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.

On Tuesday, December 2nd, the afternoon activity was Surprise Bingo with Linda Lough as the caller. Game one was “5 Number Shoot Out” with Beverly Stein winning an Address Book. Game two was a “Dog Bone” with Elmer Stein winning the Free Meal Certificate. Game 3 was “Wild # with 3 Bingos” with Oma Eckhart as the winner of a Travel Bag. Jack Oliphant won Game 4-“BO”; his prize was Binoculars and game 5-“Blackout” with a prize of an Escape Hammer was won by Esther Novotny.

On Thursday December 4th, Barb Riggle entertained us with a variety ofpiano music.

On Friday, December 5th, the afternoon activity was a 500 Card party. There were five tables of players. Don Selken won first place with 3,430 points. Hazel Eastwood won second place with 3,190. Third place went to Lois Romman with 3,050 points. After the games, refreshments were served by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.

On Monday, December 8th, games of pepper cards were played. There were three tables of players. Leroy Wieser won 1stplace with 281 points. Don Selken won 2nd place with 279 points. LaVonne Henkel won 3rd place with 242 points. After the games, refreshments were served by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.

On Tuesday, December 9th, we celebrated December birthdays with Stuart Gulick providing the musical entertainment. Wanita Spece celebrated her birthday and was the lucky winner of the free meal certificate.

On Wednesday, December 10th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Wendy Pennington was the volunteer caller; JoAnn Roster handpicked the games. Game one was “Frame the Card” with George Eckhart winning. Game two was “Four Corners and Frame the Free” with Hazel Eastwood winning. Game three was “Wild Number/3 Bingos” with Esther Novotny winning. Game four was a “Check Mark” with Hazel Eastwood winning. Oma Geiger won the Blackout game.

On Thursday, December 11th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Vickie Holst was the volunteer caller; Ruth Wieditz handpicked the games. Game one was “Goal Post” with Norma Ellis, Jack Oliphant, and JoAnn Roster all calling Bingo at the same time. Game two was a “Flag” with Norma Ellis and JoAnn Roster winning. Game three was “Stair Steps” with Marion Isbell winning. Game four was a “Wild Number/3 Bingos” with Hazel Eastwood winning. Jack Oliphant won the Blackout game.
