Serving Buffet from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM, Sunday thru Friday. Everyone is WELCOME! Suggested contribution for individuals 60 years old or older, and their accompanying spouse (regardless of age) is $3.25 for the meal. Individuals who are not yet 60 are WELCOME but need to pay $4.25 directly to the site manager for their meal. If you are just coming for the activity, the suggested contribution is $1.00. Carryout meals are available.
Hot Home Delivered Meals are available Sunday thru Friday in Vinton. The suggested contribution is $3.75/meal if you are 60 or older. For those under age 60, the suggested contribution is $4.50/meal. Please call by 10:00 AM daily to cancel or add a Home Delivered Meal. For more information about services, please call 319-472-4761, or to reserve a table for groups of three or more. We also have nutritious frozen meals and liquid supplements; delivery is available throughout Benton County.
All contributions are used toward the continued operations of the meal site.
Each month the 4th St Diner has a birthday celebration on the second Tuesday. Anyone having a birthday for that particular month is encouraged to make a reservation for themselves and any guests they would like to celebrate with. The names of all birthday celebrants who have made a reservation for the Birthday Table are entered into a drawing for a free 4th Street Diner meal. Reservations for the Birthday Dinner table can be made by calling 472-4761 and need to be made before 10:00 AM on the day of celebration.

Tuesday, February 3rd, the afternoon activity was Surprise Bingo with Linda Lough as the caller. She handpicked the games. Game 1 was “Letter F” with George Eckhart winning a Recyclable Grocery Bag. Game 2 was a “Postage Stamp” with Delane Kalina winning a Recyclable Grocery Bag. Game 3 was a “Single Straight Bingo” which Ruth Wieditz won the Free Meal Ticket. Game 4-“Layer Cake” was won by Hazel Eastwood whose prize was a Recyclable Grocery Bag and game 5-“Blackout” was won by Esther Novotny who won a Candle.
Wednesday, February 4th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo with Wendy Pennington as the caller; George Eckhart handpicked the games. Game 1 was “Goal Post” with Lorraine Fix winning. Game 2 was a “Staircase” which was won by Elsie Knaack. Game 3 was “Wild # with 3 Bingos”, which was won by Norma Ellis. Hazel Eastwood won game 4; they played the “4 Postage Stamps”. “Blackout”, the final game of the day was won by Jack Oliphant.
Larry Holst played his concertina for our musical entertainment on Thursday, February 5th.
Friday, February 6th, the afternoon activity was a 500 Card party. Don Selken (4090), Wilma Loutsch (2940), and Leroy Wieser (2510) were the winners of the day. After the games, refreshments were served by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.
Monday, February 9th, the afternoon activity was a Pepper Card Party. Leroy Wieser (296), Esther Novotny (296) and Hazel Eastwood (271) were the winners of the day. After the games, refreshments were served by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.
The February Birthday Party was held on Tuesday, February 10th, we were musically entertained by Barb Riggle. There were 3 birthday celebrants in attendance: Irene Geiger, Carrol Hilmer and Leta Mae Christy. Leta Mae was the lucky winner of the free meal gift certificate.
Wednesday, February 11th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo with Wendy Pennington as the caller; Elsie Knaack chose the games. Game 1 was “Nine Pack” with Lorraine Fix winning. Game 2 was the “Wild # with 3 Bingos” which was won by Esther Novotny. Game 3 was “Stair Steps”, which was won by Lorraine Fix. Oma Eckhart won game 4; they played the “4 Postage Stamps”. “Blackout”, the final game of the day was won by JoAnn Roster.
Thursday, February 12th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo with Vickie Holst as the caller; Esther Novotny chose the games. Game 1 was “Layer Cake” with Jack Oliphant winning. Game 2 was a “Letter N” which was won by JoAnn Roster. Game 3 was the “Frame the Free”, which was won by Esther Novotny. Delane Kalina won game 4 which was “Cake Frosting”. Blackout”, the final game of the day was won by Marcia Relf.
Friday, February 13th, the afternoon activity was a 500 Card party. Esther Novotny (3810), Leroy Wieser (3800), and Wilma Loutsch (2660) were the winners of the day. After the games, refreshments were served by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.
Tuesday, February 17th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Game 1 was “4 Postage Stamps” with Florence Ripple winning. Game 2 was “Stair Steps” with JoAnn Roster winning. Game 3 was “9 Pack” which Elsie Knaack won. Game 4-“Wild # with 3 Bingos” was won by Florence Rippel and Elsie Knaack. Game 5-“Blackout” was won by Florence Rippel.

Game 4-“Wild # with 3 Bingos” was won by Lorraine Fix and George Eckhart and game 5-“Blackout” was won Marcia Relf.

Game 2 was a “Letter K” which was won by Ruth Wieditz. Game 3 was “Mutt & Jeff”, which was won by George Eckhart. Oma Eckhart won game 4 which was the “Goal Post”. Blackout”, the final game of the day was won by Ruth Wieditz.
Friday, February 20th, the afternoon activity was a 500 Card Party. Leroy Wieser (4230), Merle Roths (3300) and Lois Romman (2,920) had the top scores of the day. After the games, refreshments were served by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.
Monday, February 23rd, the afternoon activity was a Pepper Card Party. Irene Geiger (301), Don Selken (267) and Merle Roths (245) were the winners of the day. After the games, refreshments were served by the card club. Don Selken brought treats and HACAP provided the beverages.
Friday, February 27th, the afternoon activity was a 500 Card Party. Merle Roths (3070), Bernadine Barr (2,680) and Don Selken (2,590) had the top scores of the day. HACAP provided the beverages.
