Business : Hyland returns as VU intern; will help with RAGBRAI, Boom-Fest and more

Ben Hyland returns as the summer intern for Vinton Unlimited.

The Vinton Unlimited office is excited to announce that Ben Hyland will be joining the staff for the summer. Ben will be helping with several projects including RAGBRAI and Boom-fest. Ben will also be working on some smaller projects in the office. "Vinton Unlimited has a lot of new projects in the works, and I can't wait to be a part of them" Hyland states.

Ben will add a tremendous amount of enthusiasm, knowledge and skill to the office this summer. His experience with events last summer with be an added bonus for Melissa.

"It's great to be back for the summer. I'm looking forward to all of the events that will be taking place. Vinton has a lot of things to be excited about -- from RAGBRAI to Boom-fest -- it's going to be a fun couple of months."

If you remember Hyland spent last summer with Vinton Unlimited as well. "Working with Vinton Unlimited last summer was memorable. I learned more about our town in two months than I had in my previous 18 years here. There are some pretty remarkable people and things to do here in Vinton, and I hope that this summer I can help further promote the idea that Vinton has more to do than meets the eye."

Ben is a 2014 graduate from Vinton-Shellsburg and has completed his first year at the University of Iowa majoring in economics & international relations.
