Business : McDonald's to celebrate renovation with After 5, Family Fun Day

The Vinton McDonald’s will be celebrating its renovation with a variety of events over the next several days.

On Thursday, Vinton Unlimited members are invited for an After Hours event from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. During this event, restaurant leaders will present the VSHS Choral Department a donation for the choir robe project.

The restaurant will also hold a week-long celebration from March 18-26, with prizes and special deals throughout the week.

On Saturday, March 19, there will be a Family Fun day, with Hamburglar and Birdie on hand from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to visit with children. The VSHS cheerleaders will offer face painting, and there will be balloons and Treasure Chest toys for children. Also, on that day, Happy Meals will be $2 all day.

On Tuesday, March 22, there will be a Vinton-Shellsburg Middle School McTeacher’s Night fund-raiser. Twenty percent of all sales and 100 percent of cookie sales from 4:30 to 7 p.m. will go to VSMS.
