Serving Buffet from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM, Sunday thru Friday. Everyone is WELCOME! Suggested contribution for individuals 60 years old or older, and their accompanying spouse (regardless of age) is $3.25 for the meal. Individuals who are not yet 60 are WELCOME but need to pay $4.25 directly to the site manager for their meal. If you are just coming for the activity, the suggested contribution is $1.00. Carryout meals are available.
Hot Home Delivered Meals are available Sunday thru Friday in Vinton. The suggested contribution is $3.75/meal if you are 60 or older. For those under age 60, the required contribution is $4.50/meal. Please call by 10:00 AM daily to cancel or add a Home Delivered Meal.
For more information about services, please call 319-472-4761, or to reserve a table for groups of three or more. We also have nutritious frozen meals and liquid supplements; delivery is available throughout Benton County.
All contributions are used toward the continued operations of the meal site.
Each month the 4th St Diner has a birthday celebration on the second Tuesday. Anyone having a birthday for that particular month is encouraged to make a reservation for themselves and any guests they would like to celebrate with. Reservations for the Birthday Dinner table can be made by calling 472-4761 and needs to be made before 10:00 AM on the day of celebration.
Monday, May 2nd, the afternoon activity was a Pepper Card Party; there were 3 tables of players. Richard Westcott (254) was the winner of the day. After the games, refreshments were served by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.
Tuesday, May 3rd, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo with Maureen Haisman as the caller; JoAnn Roster handpicked the games. Game 1 was “Layer Cake” with Norma Ellis winning. Game 2 was “Frame the Card” with JoAnn Roster winning. Game 3 was “Wild # with 3 Bingos” which Leroy Wieser won. Game 4-“Frame the Free and 4 Corners” was won by Ruth Wieditz. Game 5-“Blackout” was won by Oma Eckhart.
Tuesday, May 4th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo with Peggy Moran as the caller; George Eckhart handpicked the games. Game 1 was “Stair Steps” with Lorraine Fix winning. Game 2 was “Shot Gun” with Jack Oliphant winning. Game 3 was “Wild # with 3 Bingos” which Oma Eckhart won. Game 4-“Goal Post” was won by Greta Geiken. Game 5-“Blackout” was won by Mae Wilhelmi.
Thursday, May 5th, Larry Holst played some lively music on his concertina as our entertainment of the day.
Friday, May 6th, the afternoon activity was a 500 Card party; there were 4 tables of players. Merle Roths (3710), Marlys Finzen (3459) and Leroy Wieser (2350) were the winners of the day. After the games, refreshments were served by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.
Monday, May 9th, the afternoon activity was a Pepper Card Party. There were 4 tables of players. Bea Payton (265), Bill Milne (257), and Geri Shaffer (236) were the winners of the day. After the games, refreshments were served by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.
The May Birthday Party was held on Tuesday, May 10th. We were musically entertained by Barb Riggle and Larry Roster. Clair Hepker, Donna Adams, Chuck Smith, Dale Sutton, and George Eckhart all celebrated their birthdays with us.
Wednesday, May 11th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo with Peggy Moran as the volunteer caller. Jack Oliphant handpicked the games. Game 1 was “Wild # & 3 Bingos” with Hazel Eastwood winning. Game 2 was “Postage Stamps” which was won by Greta Geiken. Game 3 was the “Picnic Table”, which was won by Ruth Wieditz. Viola Calvert won game 4 which was “Layer Cake”. Blackout”, the final game of the day was won by Esther Novotny.
Thursday, May 12th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo with Delane Kalina as the caller; Geri Shaffer chose the games. Game 1 was “Round the Free & 4 Corners” with Esther Novotny winning. Game 2 was “Wild # & 3 Bingos” which was won by Greta Geiken. Game 3 was the “Letter Z”, which was won by Greta Geiken. JoAnn Roster won game 4 which was a “Goal Post and Football”. Blackout”, the final game of the day was won by Lorraine Fix.
Friday, May 13th, the afternoon activity was a 500 Card party; there were three tables of players. Leroy Wieser (2440), Geri Shaffer (2350), and Merle Roths (2290) were the winners of the day. After the games, refreshments were served by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.

Buffet: 5:30-6:00 pm; Site will close at 8:30 pm
We will be taking reservations for the Tuesday Eve meal so if we need to cancel, we know who to call. Reservations will be taken until 1:00 pm on the Tuesday that a meal is scheduled

Junes’s Fresh Conversations is scheduled for Wednesday the 15th. The topic will be “Fresh Herbs” and the taste sample will be Herb Seasoned Dipping Oil with Bread. Reserve your nutritious sample by 1:00 pm on Tuesday the 14th.
