Serving Buffet from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM, Sunday thru Friday. Everyone is WELCOME! Suggested contribution for individuals 60 years old or older, and their accompanying spouse (regardless of age) is $3.25 for the meal. Individuals who are not yet 60 are WELCOME but need to pay $4.25 directly to the site manager for their meal. If you are just coming for the activity, the suggested contribution is $1.00. Carryout meals are available.

 

Hot Home Delivered Meals are available Sunday thru Friday in Vinton. The suggested contribution is $3.75/meal if you are 60 or older. For those under age 60, the required contribution is $4.50/meal. Please call by 10:00 AM daily to cancel or add a Home Delivered Meal.

 

For more information about services, please call 319-472-4761, or to reserve a table for groups of three or more. We also have nutritious frozen meals and liquid supplements; delivery is available throughout Benton County.

 

All contributions are used toward the continued operations of the meal site.

 

Each month the 4th St Diner has a birthday celebration on the second Tuesday. Anyone having a birthday for that particular month is encouraged to make a reservation for themselves and any guests they would like to celebrate with. Reservations for the Birthday Dinner table can be made by calling 472-4761 and needs to be made before 10:00 AM on the day of celebration.

 

Monday, July 18th, the afternoon activity was a Pepper Card Party. Nancy Weise (272), Don Selken (243), and Bill Milne (234) were the winners of the day. After the games, refreshments were served by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.

 

Tuesday, July 19st, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo with Maureen Haisman as the caller; Bea Payton handpicked the games. Game 1 was “Letter H” with Esther Novotny winning. Game 2 was “Wild # with 3 Bingos” with Oma Eckhart winning. Game 3 was “Letter X” which Nancy Weise won. Game 4-“Large Picture Frame” was won by George Eckhart. Game 5-“Blackout” was won by JoAnn Roster.

 

Wednesday, July 20th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo with Peggy Moran as the caller; JoAnn Roster handpicked the games. Game 1 was “Four Corners and Frame the Free” with Leroy Wieser winning. Game 2 was “Check Mark” with Mae Wilhelmi winning. Game 3 was “Wild # with 3 Bingos” which Greta Geiken won. Game 4-“Frame the Card” was won by Nancy Weise. Game 5-“Blackout” was won by Greta Geiken.

Thursday, July 21st, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo with Delane Kalina as the caller; Marcia Relf handpicked the games. Game 1 was “Nine Pack” with Oma Eckhart winning. Game 2 was “Four Postage Stamps and Frame the Free” with Greta Geiken winning. Game 3 was “Wild # with 3 Bingos” which JoAnn Roster won. Game 4-“Birthday Cake” was won by Greta Geiken and Keith Weise. Game 5-“Blackout” was won by Leroy Wieser.

 

Friday, July 22nd, the afternoon activity was a 500 Card party; there were 4 tables of players. Bea Payton (2930), Merle Roths (2780) and Don Selken (2660) were the winners of the day. After the games, refreshments were served by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.

 

Monday, July 25th, the afternoon activity was a Pepper Card Party; there were 3 tables of players. Don Selken (253) was the winner of the day. After the games, cookies donated by Bill Milne were served by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.

 

Bob Hauser and Harold O’Deen provided our musical entertainment on Tuesday, July 26th.

 

Wednesday, July 27th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo with Peggy Moran as the caller; Deanna Moyle handpicked the games. Game 1 was “Frame the Free and Four Corners” with Greta Geiken winning. Game 2 was “Crazy T” with Mae Wilhelmi winning. Game 3 was “Letter X” which Marion Isbell won. Game 4-“4 Postage Stamps” was won by Darrel Moyle. Game 5-“Blackout” was won by Darrel Moyle.

 

Thursday, July 28th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo with Delaine Kalina as the caller; Richard Westcott handpicked the games. Game 1 was “Wild # with 3 Bingos” with Marion Isbell and Esther Novotny winning. Game 2 was “Frame the Free and Four Corners” with Marion Isbell winning. Game 3 was “Letter P” which Bea Payton won. Game 4-“Crazy T” was won by Greta Geiken. Game 5-“Blackout” was won by Richard Westcott.

 

Friday, July 29th, the afternoon activity was a 500 Card party; there were 4 tables of players. Nancy Weise (3820), Bea Payton (3480) and Merle Roths (3450) were the winners of the day. After the games, refreshments were served by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.

 

EVENING SERVING HOURS

Buffet: 5:30-6:00 pm; Site will close at 8:30 pm

We will be taking reservations for the Tuesday Eve meal so if we need to cancel, we know who to call. Reservations will be taken until 1:00 pm on the Tuesday that a meal is scheduled.

August Fresh Conversations is scheduled for Thursday the 15th at 12:30 pm. The topic will be “Ancient Grains Make a Comeback” and the taste sample will be Tomato, Cucumber, and Quinoa salad.
