Business : U.S.Bank Foundation Grants Program Presents check to Vinton Unlimited and Benton Development Group

Melissa Schwan, Director of Vinton Industries and Vinton Unlimited along with Emily Upah, Executive Director of Benton Development Group, accept a check from Jon Kremer, Market President for U.S.Bank in Vinton, for $2,000.00 from the U.S.Bank Foundation Grants Program. The funds will help with workforce development in Vinton and the surrounding communities in Benton County. Partnerships have been developed with local school districts and small business to identify opportunities available and to develop a more educated and skilled workforce. One way they do this is the annual career fair, bringing existing workers and students ready to enter the workforce, together with business' having employment opportunities. There are also educational experiences that identify what skills our future workforce will need in Vinton and Benton County.
