Everyone is WELCOME! Suggested contribution for individuals 60 years old or older, and their spouse (regardless of age) is $2.75 for the meal. Individuals who are not yet 60 are WELCOME but need to pay $3.75 for their meal. Carryout meals are available. Please call us to cancel or order a Home Delivered Meal by 10:00 AM daily! We deliver meals to Vinton, Newhall, Urbana, and Garrison/Mt Auburn. The suggested contribution is $3.00/meal if you are 60 or older. We also have nutritious frozen meals and liquid supplements. Delivery is throughout Benton County. Please call 319-472-4761 for more information about services or to reserve a table for groups of 3 or more. We recognized the 95th birthday of Edna Takes. Merle and Evelyn Roths brought Erik and Tanna Hayward, their granddaughter and her husband from Montana, and Chuck Smith as their guests. The activity of the day was a Pepper Card Party. After the games, refreshments were provided by the Card Club and HACAP provided the beverages. On Tuesday, September 28th, we welcomed the Newhall Ladies as our guests. Don Anders provided the afternoon entertainment. On Wednesday, September 29th, the activity of the day was 10-Cent Bingo. The games were handpicked were Mae Wilhelmi. The bingo caller was Wendy Pennington. Game one was a slant 7 with Elsie Knaack winning. Game two was a Wild Number 3 Bingos with Greta Geiken as the winner. Game three was a 9 pack with Greta Geiken winning. Game four was the letter “W” with Delane Kalina winning. Elsie Knaack won game five with blackout. On Thursday, September 30th, we welcomed Bill and Margaret Smith from Broadhead, WI, Carl Kahler from Iowa City, Philip Smith and Sue and Ron Neil of Cedar Rapids as the guests of Milt and Marge Smith. The activity of the day was 10-Cent Bingo. JoAnn Roster handpicked the games. Myndie Stewart and Linda Lough were the volunteer callers. Game one was frame the card with Jeanette Blazicek and JoAnn Roster winning. Game two was a plus sign with Greta Geiken winning. Game three was wild number game – 3 bingos with JoAnn Roster winning. Game four was the letter “I” with Greta Geiken winning. June Salerno won game five with a blackout. On Friday, October 1st, the activity was a 500 card party. HACAP furnished beverages and other refreshments were provided by the card club. On Monday, October 4th, the activity of the day was a pepper card party. There were 4 tables of players. Nellie Cobb won 1st place with 259 points. Bernadine Barr won 2nd place with 241 points. Joy Baker and Irene Geiger tied for 3rd place with 220 points. After the games, refreshments were provided by the Card Club. Beverages were provided by HACAP. On Tuesday, October 5th, the activity of the day was Surprise Bingo. Fern Lewis handpicked the games and Linda Lough was the volunteer caller. Game one was 2 hard ways with JoAnn Roster winning one free meal. Game two was a wild number with 3 bingos with Joe Healy winning body cream and bubble beads. Game three was a 12-pack with Jeanette Blazicek winning bubble bath. Game four was frame the card with Clete Friedman winning body cream. Greta Geiken won wash cloths on game five with blackout. On Wednesday, October 6th, the activity of the day was 10-Cent Bingo. The games were handpicked by Jeanette Blazicek. Wendy Pennington was the volunteer caller. Game one was frame the free one with JoAnn Roster winning. Game two was a 9-pack with Mae Wilhelmi winning. Game three was an umbrella with Greta Geiken winning. Game four was stair steps with JoAnn Roster winning. Mae Wilhelmi won game five with blackout. On Thursday, October 7th, we wished Elmer Stein a Happy Birthday. Barb Riggle and Larry Roster provided the musical entertainment. On Friday, October 8th, the activity was a 500 card party with 5 tables of players. Theresa Wieser won 1st place with 4,530 points. Bill Milne won 2nd place with 3,090 points.
