Business : AMP joins many local residents, organizations in donating to Play Vinton

On the night of the downtown Vinton fire, Tina Bockholt was in the AMP office with one of her managers. "I told her that Vinton has been more in the past few years than most towns go through in a lifetime," said Bockholt, referring to the flood, tornado and windstorm that have also caused much damage in Vinton in the past decade. At Bockholt's suggestion, AMP has mad a donation to the Play Vinton project. "At American Marketing & Publishing we're passionate about helping local family-owned business and communities thrive," Bockholt explains. "We recently ran a sales contest in which for every sale made a donation would go to our very own AMP Community Vinton, Iowa. Vinton is currently raising funds for a new play area in town. We were able to donate $1,475 to the Parks and Recreation Department to help them get closer to their goal. Thank you to our amazing sales force for working a little extra to make this donation possible. We can't wait to see the new play ground Vinton. Thank you to my company and colleagues for making this happen. It was an honor to deliver this check to the Vinton Parks & Rec Dept." AMP publishes the Home Pages directory, and has sent books to Vinton residents since 2009.
