Serving Buffet from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM, Monday through 
Friday. A choice of salads is available on the buffet.

Everyone is WELCOME! Suggested contribution for 
individuals 60 years old or older, and their spouse 
(regardless of age) is $2.75 for the meal. Individuals 
who are not yet 60 are WELCOME but need to pay $3.75 for 
their meal. Carryout meals are available. Please call us 
to cancel or order a Home Delivered Meal by 10:00 AM 
daily! We deliver meals to Vinton, Newhall, Urbana, and 
Garrison/Mt Auburn. The suggested contribution is 
$3.00/meal if you are 60 or older. We also have 
nutritious frozen meals and liquid supplements. Delivery 
is throughout Benton County. Please call 319-472-4761 for 
more information about services or to reserve a table for 
groups of 3 or more.

The meal on Sunday, November 28th Baked Glazed Ham, Baked 
Potato Half, Peas, Pineapple, Frosted Banana Cake, WW 
Bread, Milk.

On Monday, October 11th, the activity of the day was a 
Pepper Card Party. Irene Geiger won 1st place with 301 
points. Bernadine Barr took a close 2nd place with 300 
points. LaVonne Henkle won 3rd place with 261 points. 
After the games, refreshments were provided by the Card 
Club and HACAP provided the beverages.

On Tuesday, October 12th, we celebrated all the October 
birthdays. Stuart Gulick provided the afternoon 
entertainment.

On Wednesday, October 13th, the activity of the day was 
10-Cent Bingo. The games were handpicked were Elsie 
Knaack. The bingo caller was Wendy Pennington. Game one 
was frame the card with Elsie Knaack and Jeanette Blazicek 
winning. Game two was a nine pack with Greta Geiken as 
the winner. Game three was a picnic table with Delane 
Kalina winning. Game four was a flag with Fern Lewis 
winning. Ruth Wieditz won game five with blackout.

On Thursday, October 14th, we welcomed the Sunnyside of 60 
from Brandon as our guests. The activity of the day was 
10-Cent Bingo. Delane Kalina handpicked the games. 
Vickie Holst was the volunteer caller. Game one was the 
letter “I” with Helen Purdy winning. Game two was a 
baseball with Jeanette Blazicek winning. Game three was a 
nine pack with Ron Dawson winning. Game four was wild 
number 3 bingos with Don Dill winning. Dixie Lee Joens 
won game five with a blackout.

On Friday, October 15th, the activity was a 500 card 
party. Geri Shaffer won 1st place with 3,650 points. 
Marlys Finzen won 2nd place with 3,150 points. Bud Barr 
won 3rd place with 3,100 points. Elvis Forsyth brought 
cookies to share. HACAP furnished beverages and other 
refreshments were provided by the card club.

On Monday, October 18th, the activity of the day was a 
pepper card party. There were 4 tables of players. 
Nellie Cobb won 1st place with 262 points. Elsie Henkle 
won 2nd place with 235 points. Merle Roths won 3rd place 
with 233 points. After the games, refreshments were 
provided by the Card Club. Beverages were provided by 
HACAP.

On Tuesday, October 19th, the activity of the day was 
10-Cent Bingo. June Salerno and Clete Friedman handpicked 
the games and Evelyn Greenwood was the volunteer caller. 
Game one was a flag with JoAnn Roster winning. Game two 
was a nine pack with June Salerno winning. Game three was 
around the outside with Faye Goodell winning. Game four 
was 13 numbers with June Salerno and Geraldine Healy 
winning. Greta Geiken won game five with blackout.

On Wednesday, October 20th, Judy Mehlert provided the 
afternoon musical entertainment.

On Thursday, October 21st, the activity of the day was 
10-Cent Bingo. The games were handpicked by JoAnn Roster. 
The volunteer bingo caller was Vicki Holst. Game one was 
a plus sign with Dora Vogt winning. Game two was a 
pyramid with Faye Goodell and JoAnn Roster winning. Game 
three was wild number 3 bingos with Dora Vogt winning. 
Game four is the letter “I” with JoAnn Roster winning. 
Greta Geiken won game five with blackout.

On Friday, October 22nd, the activity was a 500 card party 
with 5 tables of players. Nellie Cobb and Marlys Finzen 
tied for 1st place with 4,400 points. Dora Vogt won 3rd 
place with 4,100 points. After the games, Evelyn 
Greenwood brought some treats to share. Other 
refreshments were provided by Card Club. Beverages were 
provided by HACAP.
