Business assistance has been announced at the Federal and State level to help combat the effects of COVID-19 business closures. Below is a quick snapshot of a few of the best resources you might find helpful.
Note - if you are applying for the Iowa Small Business Relief Program, the deadline is tomorrow (Tuesday) at Noon. Iowa Economic Development Authority Information Governor Reynolds Announces COVID-19 Iowa Small Business Relief Program
  • have employed between 2-25 people prior to March 17, 2020
  • eligible small businesses grants ranging from $5,000-$25,000
  • deferral of sales and use or withholding taxes due and waiver of penalty and interest
  • The deadline for applications is March 31 at 12:00 p.m. (noon).
COVID-19 Targeted Small Business Sole Operator Fund
  • zero employees that have been economically impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic
  • eligible small businesses grants up to $10,000 to businesses that are single owners with no employees that are also TSB certified, or have an application submitted to the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) by April 10, 2020 to become TSB certified.
