You know the jingle, "Where there's a helpful smile, in every aisle?" That's the tune that if you're like me will run through your head as you shop at the new Hy-Vee Dollar Fresh. Seeing something funny, as I usually do, there were no smiles that could be seen in the store on Friday. Not because folks weren't happy and thrilled to be there and thrilled to shop, but most were wearing masks.

With about 20 cars in the lot, doors opened at Vinton's Hy-Vee Dollar Fresh at 7:00 a.m. Shoppers found the usual fare of groceries and supplies. In addition the store offers a section of greeting cards, a small section of shoes, hair items, makeup and other items.

Available at the store are meals that can be reheated, bakery items and grab and go items for a quick meal on the road. The store has a kitchen on site as well.

Jon Clingman can now be found in the Pharmacy at the Dollar Fresh with most of his staff as well.

The first shopper at the new Hy-Vee, Michelle Ruess made a purchase of Bakery goods as did the second shopper.
