Fareway, which is headquartered in Boone, informed newspapers across the state last week that it no longer will publish its weekly specials in the newspaper. You can pick up a regular print ad, in the store, but it will no longer be delivered to your home.

The decision made was a corporate one affecting publications statewide, Fareway vice president of marketing and sales Jeff Stearns told Vinton Today that the ads will continue to run from Wednesday through Tuesday.

To view the Fareway ads, you can always click their ad on Vinton Today's Home page or simply go to Once you set up your store location there will be a tab where you can view the weekly ad.

The store is also offering online shopping which makes picking up your order up Curbside possible with a $30 minimum purchase.
