Vinton Monuments has been sold! In a statement to Vinton residents, Tom Boeckmann owner of Vinton Monuments, notified residents that his business has been sold to Breakenridge Memorials. Serving the Benton County area since 2016 Boeckmann had built the business with the greatest care and work ethic...and a bit of humor. He plans to continue to serve his remaining customers who have placed orders until their monuments have been placed.Phillip Close has taken over the monument cleaning part of the business and can be reached at 319-560-4177. Boeckmann said, "Phil has been trained in the proper techniques of cleaning granite, bronze and other materials found in cemeteries. Phil offers solutions which you will find to be affordable and readily available.Breakenridge Memorials has been serving the neighboring communities next to Vinton for the past 27 years and is looking forward to continuing with the same care and compassion Benton County has been used to with Tom at Vinton Monuments. Breakenridge Memorials will be located in the same location as Vinton Monuments, 311 South K Avenue in Vinton.They will be open beginning August 12 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, as well as by appointment.
