A choice of salads is available on the buffet. Everyone is WELCOME! Suggested contribution for individuals 60 years old or older, and their spouse (regardless of age) is $2.75 for the meal. Individuals who are not yet 60 are WELCOME but need to pay $3.75 for their meal. Carryout meals are available. We deliver meals to Vinton, Newhall, Urbana, and Garrison/Mt Auburn. The suggested contribution is $3.00/meal if you are 60 or older. We also have nutritious frozen meals and liquid supplements. Delivery is throughout Benton County. Attn: When planning for the monthly birthday meals, you are strongly encouraged to reserve your seats for the birthday tables. All seats must be reserved by 10 AM on the day of the birthday dinner. Bernadine Barr won 1st place with 251 points. Leroy Weiser took 2nd place with 241 points. Esther Novotny won 3rd place with 221 points. Refreshments were provided by the card club and beverages were provided by HACAP. On Tuesday, June 7th, the afternoon activity was Surprise Bingo. The games were handpicked by JoAnn Roster. Norma Ellis was the volunteer caller. Game one was a Slant 7 with Elsie Knaack winning a meal ticket. Game two was the Letter “I” with June Salerno willing an angel. Game three was Wild Number Three Bingos with Faye Goodell winning a vase. Game four was the letter “T” with Greta Geiken winning a pin. Verna Haerther won game five with blackout. On Wednesday, June 8th, we welcomed Bill and Joan Martin, guests of Marvin Witt. The afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Ruth Wieditz handpicked the games and Wendy Pennington was the volunteer caller. Game one was Stairsteps with Delane Kalina winning. Game two was a 12-Pack with Delane Kalina winning. Game three was Wild Number 3 Bingos with Verda Haerther winning. Game four was a Picnic Table and Marge Goodell was the winner. Ruth Wieditz won game five with blackout. On Thursday, June 9th, the activity of the day was 10-Cent Bingo. Evelyn Greenwood handpicked the games and Wendy Pennington was the volunteer caller. Game one was a 9-Pack with Ruth Wieditz winning. Game two was Wild Number 3 Bingos with Delane Kalina and Clete Friedman winning. Game three was an Upside Down “T” with June Salerno winning. Game four was Four Corners and Frame the Free with JoAnn Roster and June Salerno winning. Faye Goodell won game five with blackout. Friday, June 10th, there were 5 tables of 500 played. Bernadine Barr and Don Selken tied for 1st place with 4,080 points. Geri Shaffer won 3rd place with 3, 230 points. Refreshments were provided by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages. On Monday, June 13th, the activity of the day was a Pepper Card Party with 4 tables of players. Merle Roths won 1st place with 267 points. Clete Friedman won 2nd place with 249 points. Third place went to Frances Kelly with 241 points. After the games, refreshments were provided by the Card Club. Beverages were provided by HACAP. Bernadine and Bud Barr brought cookies to share. On Tuesday, June 14th, we welcomed the Big Grove Homemakers as guests. We celebrated the June birthdays. Those recognized with June birthdays were Esther Rinderknecht, Faye Goodell, and June Salerno. There were also 9 guests in attendance. Esther Rinderknecht won the door prize of a free meal. The afternoon entertainment was provided by Madeline Duncklee. On Wednesday, June 15th, everyone enjoyed the music provided by Judy Mehlert. On Thursday, June 16th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. The games were handpicked by Ruth Wieditz. The volunteer caller was Vickie Holst. Game one was a Flag with Ruth Wieditz winning. Game two was Wild Number 3 Bingos and Greta Geiken was the winner. Game three was a 9-Pack with Ruth Wieditz as the winner. Game four was Around the Free Space and 4 Corners with Faye Goodell winning. Faye Goodell won game five with blackout. On Friday, June 17th, there were 5 tables of 500 played. Mary Smith won 1st place with 2,455 points. Don Burmeister won 2nd place with 2,245 points. Geri Shaffer won 3rd place with 2,010 points.
