Serving Buffet from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday. A choice of salads is available on the buffet.

Everyone is WELCOME! Suggested contribution for individuals 60 years old or older, and their spouse (regardless of age) is $2.75 for the meal. Individuals who are not yet 60 are WELCOME but need to pay $3.75 for their meal. Carryout meals are available. We deliver meals to Vinton, Newhall, Urbana, and Garrison/Mt Auburn. The suggested contribution is $3.00/meal if you are 60 or older. We also have nutritious frozen meals and liquid supplements. Delivery is throughout Benton County. Please call 319-472-4761 for more information about services or to reserve a table for groups of 3 or more.

Attn: When planning for the monthly birthday meals, you are strongly encouraged to reserve your seats for the birthday tables. All seats must be reserved by 10 AM on the day of the birthday dinner.

On Monday, October 10th, the afternoon activity was a Pepper Card Party with 4 tables of players. Patty McKenna won 1st place with 279 points. Irene Geiger won 2nd place with 256 points. Bud Barr won 3rd place with 249 points. After cards, Leroy Weiser brought cake to share. Other refreshments were served by the card club and HACAP provided the beverages.

On Tuesday, October 11th, we celebrated all the October birthdays. Those celebrating were Dale Anderson, Winifred Landeugt and Don Dell. We also welcomed 10 guests. Dale Anderson won the free meal gift certificate. Stuart Gulick provided the afternoon musical entertainment.

On Wednesday, October 12th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. The games were handpicked by June Salerno and Wendy Pennington was the volunteer caller. Game one was the Letter “X” with Elsie Knaack winning. Game two was All Around the Outside with Faye Goodell winning. Game three was Three Bingos with Orville Ellingson winning. Game four was All Around the Free Space with Orville Ellingson winning. JoAnn Roster won game five with blackout.

On Thursday, October 13th, we welcomed Brandon and the Sunny Side of 60 Group. The afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. The games were handpicked by JoAnn Roster and Vickie Holst was the volunteer caller. Game one was the Letter “I” with JoAnn Roster as the winner. Game two was Four Corners Frame the Free Spot with Hazel Eastwood winning. Game three was Wild Number Three Bingos with Greta Geiken and Elsie Knaack winning. Game four was the Letter “M” with Elsie Knaack winning. JoAnn Roster won game five with blackout.

Friday, October 14th, there were 6 tables of 500 played. Irene Geiger won 1st place with 3,310 points. Leroy Weiser won 2nd place with 2,870 points. Geri Shaffer won 3rd place with 2,830 points. After the games, refreshments were provided by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.

On Monday, October 17th, there were 4 tables of Pepper Cards played. Irene Geiger won 1st place with 253 points. Annie Hopkins won 2nd place with 242 points. Don Burmeister won 3rd place with 240 points. After the games, refreshments were provided by Card Club. Beverages were provided by HACAP.

On Tuesday, October 18th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. The games were handpicked by Jeanette Blazicek. Maureen Heisman was the volunteer caller. Game one was Four Corner Stamp with Rita O’Connell winning. Game two was a 9-Pack with Delane Kalina winning. Game three was Stair Steps with Jeanette Blazicek winning. Game four was a Plus Sign with JoAnn Roster winning. Delane Kalina won game five with blackout.

On Wednesday, October 19th, Judy Mehlert provided the afternoon musical entertainment.

On Thursday, October 20th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. The games were handpicked by June Salerno. Game one was Three Bingos on one card with Faye Goodell, Elsie Knaack and JoAnn Roster all winning. Game two was Wild Number Two Bingos with Marion Isabell winning. Game three was an Outside Picture Frame with Donna Rausch and Jeanette Blazicek winning. Game four was the Letter “X” with Evelyn Greenwood and June Salerno as the winners. JoAnn Roster won game five with blackout.

On Friday, October 21st, five tables of 500 were played. Irene Geiger won 1st place with 3,290 points. Bill Milne won 2nd place with 3,020 points. Marjorie Foster won 3rd place with 2,970 points. After the games, refreshments were provided by Card Club. Beverages were provided by HACAP.
