Serving Buffet from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday. A choice of salads is available on the buffet.

Everyone is WELCOME! Suggested contribution for individuals 60 years old or older, and their spouse (regardless of age) is $2.75 for the meal. Individuals who are not yet 60 are WELCOME but need to pay $3.75 for their meal. Carryout meals are available. We deliver meals to Vinton, Newhall, Urbana, and Garrison/Mt Auburn. The suggested contribution is $3.00/meal if you are 60 or older. We also have nutritious frozen meals and liquid supplements. Delivery is throughout Benton County. Please call 319-472-4761 for more information about services or to reserve a table for groups of 3 or more.

Attn: When planning for the monthly birthday meals, you are strongly encouraged to reserve your seats for the birthday tables. All seats must be reserved by 10 AM on the day of the birthday dinner.

The meal on Sunday, January 15th will be Roast Beef, Mashed Potatoes/Gravy, Broccoli/Cheese Sauce, Mixed Green Salad, Peach Crisp, WW Bread, Milk.

On Monday, December 5th, the afternoon activity was a Pepper Card Party with 3 tables of players. Helen Purdy won 1st place with 289 points. Patty McKenna won 2nd place with 262 points. Bernadine Barr won 3rd place with 258 points. After cards, refreshments were served by the card club and HACAP provided the beverages.

On Tuesday, December 6th, the afternoon activity was Surprise Bingo. The games were handpicked by June Salerno and the volunteer caller was Maureen Hausman. Game one was a Flag and George Eckhart won an ornament. Game two was Three Bingos on One Card and Elsie Knaack won candy. Game three was the Letter “X” with Hazel Eastwood winning a meal ticket. Game four was a 9-Pack and Faye Goodell won earrings. Jeanette Blazicek won candy on game five with Blackout.

On Wednesday, December 7th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. The games were handpicked by Faye Goodell and Wendy Pennington was the volunteer caller. Game one was Wild Number Three Bingos with Jeanette Blazicek winning. Game two was a 9-Pack with George Eckhart winning. Game three was a Diamond with Elsie Knaack winning. Game four was a Christmas Tree with Jeanette Blazicek and Jerry Healy winning. Jeanette Blazicek was the winner on game five with Blackout.

On Thursday, December 8th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Dora Vogt handpicked the games and Vickie Holst was the volunteer caller. Game one was the Letter “X” with Dora Vogt winning. Game two was Two Bingos Hard Way with JoAnn Roster winning. Game three was a Picture Frame with Dora Vogt winning. Game four was the Letter “T” with Dora Vogt winning. Greta Geiken won game five with Blackout.

On Friday, December 9th, the afternoon activity was a 500 Card Party. There were 6 tables of card players. Merle Roths won 1st place with 3,600 points. Marge Smith won 2nd place with 3,050 points. Milt Smith won 3rd place with 2,920 points. After cards, Esther Novotny provided homemade cookies to share. Other refreshments were provided by Card Club. Beverages were provided by HACAP.

On Monday, December 12th, there were 4 tables of Pepper Cards played. Patty McKenna won 1st place with 302 points. Lois Romman won 2nd place with 235 points. Bernadine Barr won 3rd place with 225 points. After the games, Merle Roths brought cookies to share. Other refreshments were provided by Card Club. Beverages were provided by HACAP.

On Tuesday, December 13th, we celebrated all the December birthdays. Dora Vogt and Mike Scheif celebrated their December birthdays. Dora brought five guests and was also the winner of a free meal. Stuart Gulick provided the afternoon musical entertainment.

On Wednesday, December 14th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. The games were handpicked by Ruth Wieditz. Wendy Pennington was the volunteer caller. Game one was a Telephone Pole with Dora Vogt as the winner. Game two was a 9-Pack with Jeff Bush winning. Game three was Wild Number Three Bingos with June Salerno winning. Game four was Stair Steps with JoAnn Roster winning. Cletus Friedman won game five with Blackout.

On Thursday, December 15th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. The games were handpicked by Elsie Knaack and Vickie Holst was the volunteer caller. Game one was Frame the Free and Four Corners with Jeanette Blazicek winning. Game two was a Picnic Table with Elsie Knaack winning. Game three was a Christmas Tree with Elsie Knaack winning. Game four was a 9-Pack with Phyllis Eckhert winning. Hazel Eastwood won game five with Blackout.

On Friday, December 16th, six tables of 500 were played. Leroy Weiser won 1st place with 4,200 points. Theresa Weiser won 2nd place with 3,890 points. Paulene Schminke won 3rd place with 3,730 points. After the games, Joy Baker brought peanut brittle and Don Selken brought caramel corn to share. Other refreshments were provided by Card Club. Beverages were provided by HACAP.
