Serving Buffet from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday. A choice of salads is available on the buffet.

Everyone is WELCOME! Suggested contribution for individuals 60 years old or older, and their spouse (regardless of age) is $2.75 for the meal. Individuals who are not yet 60 are WELCOME but need to pay $3.75 for their meal. Carryout meals are available. We deliver meals to Vinton, Newhall, Urbana, and Garrison/Mt Auburn. The suggested contribution is $3.00/meal if you are 60 or older. We also have nutritious frozen meals and liquid supplements. Delivery is throughout Benton County. Please call 319-472-4761 for more information about services or to reserve a table for groups of 3c or more.

Each month the 4th St Diner has a special day set aside to celebrate birthdays for that month. It is always scheduled for the second Tuesday of each month. Anyone having a birthday for that particular month is encouraged to make a reservation for themselves and any guests they would like to celebrate with. The names of all birthday celebrants who have made a reservation for the Birthday Table are entered into the door prize drawing. We currently have two door prizes scheduled for each month. The first is $5 in Vinton Unlimited Value Dollars generously donated by Vinton Unlimited. The second is a gift certificate for a free 4th Street Diner meal. Reservations for the Birthday Dinner table can be made by calling 472-4761. Reservations need to be made by 10:00 AM on the day of the celebration.

The meal on Sunday, May 13th, will be Roast Turkey, Mashed Potatoes/Gravy, Broccoli, Mixed Green Salad, Blushing Pears, Cake, WW Bread, Milk.

On Monday, March 26th, the afternoon activity was a Pepper Card Party. There were 4 tables of players. LaVonne Henkle won 1st place with 296points. Don Selken won 2nd place with 274 points. Patty McKenna won 3rd place with 253points. After cards, Patty McKenna brought treats for her 90th birthday. Other refreshments were served by the card club and HACAP provided the beverages.

On Tuesday, March 27th, the afternoon musical entertainment was provided by Bob Hauser and Harold O’Deen.

On Wednesday, March 28th, the activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Wendy Pennington was the volunteer caller and June Salerno handpicked the games. Game one was a Flag with Elsie

Knaack winning. Game two was a 9-Pack with Margie Goodell as the winner. Game three was Wild Number Three Bingos with Elsie Knaack as the winner. Game four was Four Corners and Around the Free Spot with Faye Goodell winning. Jerry Healy won game five with Blackout.

On Thursday, March 29th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Vickie Holst was the volunteer caller. The games were handpicked by Geri Shaffer. Game one was a 9-Pack with Marion Isbell winning. Game two was Stair Steps with JoAnn Roster winning. Game three was a Three Layer Cake with JoAnn Roster winning. Game four was Four Corners Two Bingos with Greta Geiken winning. June Salerno won game five with Blackout.

On Friday, March 30th, the afternoon activity was a 500 Card Party. There were 5 tables of players. Bernadine Barr and Margarie Foster tied for 1st place with 3,000 points. Pauline Schminke won 3rd place with 2,870 points. After the games, Pauline Schminke brought birthday cake for her 92nd birthday. Other refreshments were provided by the Card Club and beverages were provided by HACAP.

On Monday, April 2nd, there were 5 tables of Pepper Cards played. Hazel Eastwood took 1st place with 274 points. Helen Purdy won 2nd place with 262 points. Gary Bearbower won 3rd place with 260 points. After the games, refreshments were provided by Card Club. Beverages were provided by HACAP.

On Tuesday, April 3rd, the activity of the day was Surprise Bingo. The volunteer caller was Maureen Haisman. The games were handpicked by Delane Kalina. Game one was a 9-Pack with Faye Goodell winning a travel wallet. Game two was Frame the Free and Four Postage Stamps with Elsie Knaack winning Girl Scout cookies. Game three was a Flag with Clete Friedman winning a meal ticket. Game four was Stair Steps with Ruth Wieditz winning a game. June Salerno won cookies on game five with Blackout.

On Wednesday, April 4th, the activity was 10-Cent Bingo with Wendy Pennington as the volunteer caller. Elsie Knaack handpicked the games. Game one was the Letter “E” with Elsie Knaack and Faye Goodell winning. Game two was a 9-Pack with Don Dill winning. Game three was a picnic table with Elsie Knaack winning. Game four was a Champagne glass with Elsie Knaack winning. George Eckhart won game five with Blackout.

On Thursday, April 5th, Barb Riggle provided the afternoon musical entertainment.

On Friday, April 6th, the activity was a 500 Card Party. There were 6 tables of card players. Bernadine Barr won 1st place with 3,480 points. Marge Smith won 2nd place with 3,430 points. Nellie Cobb won 3rd place with 2,230 points. After the games, refreshments were provided by Card Club. Beverages were provided the HACAP.
