Serving Buffet from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM, Monday through 
Friday.  A choice of salads is available on the buffet.
 
Everyone is WELCOME!  Suggested contribution for 
individuals 60 years old or older, and their spouse 
(regardless of age) is $2.75 for the meal.  Individuals 
who are not yet 60 are WELCOME but need to pay $3.75 for 
their meal.  Carryout meals are available.  We deliver 
meals to Vinton, Newhall, Urbana, and Garrison/Mt Auburn. 
 The suggested contribution is $3.00/meal if you are 60 or 
older.  We also have nutritious frozen meals and liquid 
supplements.  Delivery is throughout Benton County.

Each month the 4th St Diner has a special day set aside to 
celebrate birthdays for that month.  It is always 
scheduled for the second Tuesday of each month.  Anyone 
having a birthday for that particular month is encouraged 
to make a reservation for themselves and any guests they 
would like to celebrate with.  The names of all birthday 
celebrants who have made a reservation for the Birthday 
Table are entered into the door prize drawing.  We 
currently have two door prizes scheduled for each month. 
 The first is $5 in Vinton Unlimited Value Dollars 
generously donated by Vinton Unlimited.  The second is a 
gift certificate for a free 4th Street Diner meal. 
 Reservations for the Birthday Dinner table can be made by 
calling 472-4761.  Reservations need to be made by 10:00 
AM on the day of the celebration.

The 4th Street Diner meal on Sunday, August 12th will be 
Roast Pork, Mashed Potatoes/Gravy, Spinach, Peaches, 
Custard, WW Bread, Milk.
 
On Monday, July 9th, the afternoon activity was a Pepper 
Card Party. There were 4 tables of players.  Frances Kelly 
won 1st place with 300 points.  Clete Friedman won 2nd 
place with 280 points.  Leroy Wieser won 3rd place with 
274 points.  After cards, refreshments were served by the 
card club.  HACAP provided the beverages.
 
On Tuesday, July 10th, we celebrated all the July 
Birthdays.  Those honored were Geri Shaffer, Larry Cirkl, 
Orville Ellingson, Conrad Brehm, and Stuart Gulick.  Geri 
Shaffer won the Vinton Value Dollars and Orville Ellingson 
won the free meal.  Stuart Gulick provided the afternoon 
musical entertainment.
 
On Wednesday, July 11th, the afternoon activity was 
10-Cent Bingo.  The volunteer caller was Wendy Pennington. 
 June Salerno handpicked the games.  Game one was the 
Letter “X” and Four Corners with Orville Ellingson 
winning.  Game two was Around the Free Space with Phyllis 
Ebert as the winner.  Game three was Three Bingos on One 
Card with Ruth Wieditz winning.  Game four was the Letter 
“T” with Sharon Hatfield and Mae Wilhelmi winning.  Faye 
Goodell won game five with Blackout.
 
On Thursday, July 12th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent 
Bingo. Rose Kelsey was the volunteer caller.  The games 
were handpicked by JoAnn Roster.  Game one was a Check 
Mark with JoAnn Roster winning.  Game two was a Top Line 
and a Bottom Line with Faye Goodell winning.  Game three 
was Wild Number Three Bingos with Marion Isabel and Faye 
Goodell winning.  Game four was Four Corners and Frame the 
Free Spot with Greta Geiken winning.  Peggy Schott won 
game five with Blackout.
 
On Friday, July 13th, there were 6 tables of 500 played. 
 Nellie Cobb won 1st place with 3,620 points.  Glenn 
Kester won 2nd place with 3,600 points.  Merle Roths won 
3rd place with 3,330 points.  After the games, 
refreshments were provided by Card Club.  Beverages were 
provided by HACAP.
 
On Monday, July 16th, there were 5 tables of Pepper Cards 
played.  Evelyn Greenwood won 1st place with 283 points. 
 Bernadine Barr won 2nd place with 270 points.  Clete 
Friedman won 3rd place with 245 points.  After the games, 
refreshments were provided by Card Club.  Beverages were 
provided by HACAP.
 
On Tuesday, July 17th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent 
Bingo.  The volunteer caller was Maureen Haisman.  Ruth 
Wieditz handpicked the games.  Game one was a Flag with 
Elsie Knaack winning.  Game two was All Around the Free 
Spot and Four Corners with Elsie Knaack winning.  Game 
three was Wild Number Three Bingos with Faye Goodell 
winning.  Game four was a 9-Pack with JoAnn Roster 
winning.  Ruth Wieditz won game five with Blackout.
 
On Wednesday, July 18th, the afternoon activity was

Bingo.  Linda Lough was the volunteer caller.  Geri 
Shaffer handpicked the games.  Game one was Two Bingos and 
Four Corners with Phyllis Ebert and Geri Shaffer winning. 
 Game two was a Large Picture Frame with Phyllis Ebert 
winning.  Game three was a Layer Cake with Elsie Knaack as 
the winner.  Game four was a 9-Pack with JoAnn Roster 
winning.  Elsie Knaack won game five with Blackout.
 
On Friday, July 20th, the afternoon activity was a 500 
card party with 7 tables of players.  First place went to 
Bud Barr with 3,270 points.  Don Selken won 2nd place with 
3,080 points.  Leroy Weiser won 3rd place with 2,950 
points.  After the games, refreshments were provided by 
the Card Club.  Beverages were provided by HACAP.
