Urbana-based Clickstop continues to grow, with the addition of staff members and the creation of two new warehouse supervisor positions for the US Cargo Control division.
The e-commerce business, which operates nine different websites in addition to its flagship site, USCargoControl.com, now has more than 50 employees, with plans in the works to add more new hires in its warehouse operations.
Tammy Karr comes to Clickstop from Fleet Priority Services in Cedar Rapids. Her duties as Clickstop’s new Freight and Customs Manager include responsibilities for service, training, efficiencies and overall profitability of freight throughout the company. Karr works with a team led by Ben Rechkemmer, VP Purchasing & Logistics.
Jake Bryant has joined the Warehouse and Fulfillment team as a Warehouse Associate. Bryant is a Marion resident and will be working part-time, reporting to Tim Sanders, VP Warehouse Operations.
The expanding US Cargo Control division is also undergoing changes in the warehouse, with two employees, Allen DeHeck and Scott Keeling, promoted to the role of Warehouse Supervisor. DeHeck will primarily be responsible for inventory management and accuracy, general workflow, shipping and receiving, as well as quality control and safety. Keeling will primarily be responsible for the areas of picking and packing, manufacturing, and facilities and maintenance. He will also be working in the areas of quality control and safety. Both Keeling and DeHeck will continue to report to Tim Sanders.
Commenting on the changes, Sanders said the consistent growth of the US Cargo Control business was the reason for the newly-created positions. “We are fortunate to have a dedicated team who is committed to accuracy, efficiency and quality; having Allen and Scott assume these areas of responsibility will enable us to make our continued expansion smooth and successful.”
US Cargo Control is Clickstop’s top website in terms of growth and revenue. CEO Tim Guenther founded the company in 2005 when he began selling ratchet straps and other cargo control merchandise online at USCargoControl.com. The website now carries thousands of products serving the trucking, rigging, lifting, and cargo control industries.
The e-commerce business is growing in physical space as well as employees. Ground was broken in July for a 42,750 square foot addition to the warehouse at its Blue Creek Drive location. The expanded space is slated to be finished in December.
