Serving Buffet from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM, Monday through 
Friday.  A choice of salads is available on the buffet.
 
Everyone is WELCOME!  Suggested contribution for 
individuals 60 years old or older, and their spouse 
(regardless of age) is $2.75 for the meal.  Individuals 
who are not yet 60 are WELCOME but need to pay $3.75 for 
their meal.  Carryout meals are available.  We deliver 
meals to Vinton, Newhall, Urbana, and Garrison/Mt Auburn. 
 The suggested contribution is $3.00/meal if you are 60 or 
older.  We also have nutritious frozen meals and liquid 
supplements.  Delivery is throughout Benton County.

Each month the 4th St Diner has a special day set aside to 
celebrate birthdays for that month.  It is always 
scheduled for the second Tuesday of each month.  Anyone 
having a birthday for that particular month is encouraged 
to make a reservation for themselves and any guests they 
would like to celebrate with.  The names of all birthday 
celebrants who have made a reservation for the Birthday 
Table are entered into the door prize drawing.  We 
currently have two door prizes scheduled for each month. 
 The first is $5 in Vinton Unlimited Value Dollars 
generously donated by Vinton Unlimited.  The second is a 
gift certificate for a free 4th Street Diner meal. 
 Reservations for the Birthday Dinner table can be made by 
calling 472-4761.  Reservations need to be made by 10:00 
AM on the day of the celebration.

The 4th Street Diner meal on Sunday, September 23rd, Roast 
Pork, Mashed Potatoes/Gravy, Spinach, Peaches, Custard, 
and Milk.
 
On Monday, August 20th, the afternoon activity was a 
Pepper Card Party. There were 5 tables of players. 
 Darlene Werning won 1st place with 320 points.  Hazel 
Eastwood won 2nd place with 287 points.  Third place went 
to Frances Kelly with 263 points.  After cards, 
refreshments were served by the card club.  Patty McKenna 
brought cookies to share in honor of Lois Schmitt’s 
birthday.  HACAP provided the beverages.
 
On Tuesday, August 21st, the afternoon activity was 
10-Cent Bingo.  Maureen Haisman was the volunteer caller. 
 June Salerno handpicked the games.  Game one was a Letter 
“X” with Hazel Eastwood winning.  Game two was a 9-Pack 
with Greta Geiken winning.  Game three was Four Postage 
Stamps with Elsie Knaack winning.  Game four was Frame the 
Card with George Eckhart winning.  Greta Geiken won with 
Blackout on game five.
 
On Wednesday, August 22nd, the afternoon activity was 
10-Cent Bingo.
 
On Thursday, August 23rd, the afternoon activity was 
10-Cent Bingo. Vickie Holst was the volunteer caller. 
 Evelyn Greenwood handpicked the games.  Game one was 
Frame the Free Spot and Four Corners with Elsie Knaack as 
the winner.  Game two was a 9-Pack with JoAnn Roster as 
the winner.  Game three was Wild Number Three Bingos with 
Elsie Knaack as the winner.  Game four was a Picnic Table 
with JoAnn Roster as the winner.  Geri Shaffer and Marion 
Isabell won game five with Blackout.
 
On Friday, August 24th, there were 6 tables of 500 played. 
 Clete Friedman won 1st place with 4,130 points.  Leroy 
Wieser won 2nd place with 3,890 points.  Bernadine Barr 
won 3rd place with 3,470 points.  After the games, 
refreshments were provided by Card Club.  Beverages were 
provided by HACAP. Lois and Don furnished new cards for 
the players.
 
On Monday, August 27th, there were 5 tables of Pepper 
Cards played.  Bernadine Barr won 1st place with 365 
points.  Clete Friedman won 2nd place with 353 points. 
 Hazel Eastwood won 3rd place with 329 points.  After the 
games, refreshments were provided by Card Club.  Beverages 
were provided by HACAP.
 
On Tuesday, August 28th, Bob Hauser provided the afternoon 
musical entertainment.
 
On Wednesday, August 29th, the afternoon activity was 
10-Cent Bingo.  Wendy Pennington was the volunteer caller. 
 Hazel Eastwood handpicked the games.  Game one was a 
9-Pack with George Eckhart and Elsie Knaack winning.  Game 
two was the Letter “X” with George Eckhart.  Game three 
was a Layer Cake with JoAnn Roster winning.  Game four was 
Frame the Free with Four Corners and Marion Isabell was 
the winner.  June Salerno won game five with Blackout.
 
On Thursday, August 30th, the afternoon activity was 
10-Cent Bingo.  Vickie Holst was the volunteer caller. 
 Faye Goodell handpicked the games.  Game one was a Flag 
with Faye Goodell as the winner.  Game two was Four 
Postage Stamps with June Salerno winning.  Game three was 
a 9-Pack with Faye Goodell as the winner.  Game four was 
Stair Steps with Ruth Wieditz as the winner.  Ruth Wieditz 
won game five with Blackout.
 
On Friday, August 31st, the afternoon activity was a 500 
card party.  First place went to Bill Milne with 3,260 
points.  Milo Cobb won 2nd place with 3,060 points.  Bud 
Barr won 3rd place with 2,940 points.  After the games, 
refreshments were provided by the Card Club.  Beverages 
were provided by HACAP.
