Serving Buffet from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday. A choice of salads is available on the buffet.

Everyone is WELCOME! Suggested contribution for individuals 60 years old or older, and their spouse (regardless of age) is $2.75 for the meal. Individuals who are not yet 60 are WELCOME but need to pay $3.75 for their meal. Carryout meals are available. We deliver meals to Vinton, Newhall, Urbana, and Garrison/Mt Auburn. The suggested contribution is $3.00/meal if you are 60 or older. We also have nutritious frozen meals and liquid supplements. Delivery is throughout Benton County. Please call 319-472-4761 for more information about services or to reserve a table for groups of 3c or more.

Each month the 4th St Diner has a special day set aside to celebrate birthdays for that month. It is always scheduled for the second Tuesday of each month. Anyone having a birthday for that particular month is encouraged to make a reservation for themselves and any guests they would like to celebrate with. The names of all birthday celebrants who have made a reservation for the Birthday Table are entered into the door prize drawing. We currently have two door prizes scheduled for each month. The first is $5 in Vinton Unlimited Value Dollars generously donated by Vinton Unlimited. The second is a gift certificate for a free 4th Street Diner meal. Reservations for the Birthday Dinner table can be made by calling 472-4761. Reservations need to be made by 10:00 AM on the day of the celebration.

On Monday, September 10th, the activity of the day was a Pepper Card Party. There were five tables of layers. Patty McKenna won 1st place with 234 points. Bill Milne won 2nd place with 224 points. Third place went to Hazel Eastwood with 212 points. After the games, refreshments were provided by Card Club. Beverages were provided by HACAP.

On Tuesday, September 11th, we celebrated the Septembers with our monthly Birthday Dinner. Those honored with birthdays were Maybeth Graham and Dixie Joens. There were four guests. Stuart Gulick provided the afternoon musical entertainment.

On Wednesday, September 12th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Wendy Pennington was the volunteer caller. Mae Wilhelmi handpicked the games. Game one was Around the Free

Space and Four Corners with June Salerno winning. Game two was a 9-Pack with Faye Goodell winning. Game three was Wild Number Three Bingos with Greta Geiken, Faye Goodell and Marion Isabell winning. Game four was the Letter “X” with Phyllis Ebert and JoAnn Roster winning. Greta Geiken won game five with Blackout.

On Thursday, September 13th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Maureen Haisman was the volunteer caller. Wanda McNitt handpicked the games. Game one was a 9-Pack with Wanda McNitt and Donna Rauch winning. Game two was a Flag with George Eckhart winning. Game three was a Postage Stamp with Wanda McNitt winning. Game four was a Layer Cake and Faye Goodell winning. Hazel Eastwood won game five with a Blackout.

On Friday, September 14th, there were 5 tables of 500 played. Leroy Wieser won 1st place with 3,970 points. Geri Shaffer won 2nd place with 3,820 points. Don Burmeister won 3rd place with 3,190 points. After the games, refreshments were provided by Card Club. Beverages were provided by HACAP.

On Monday, September 17th, there were 5 tables of Pepper Cards played. Clete Friedman won 1st place with 261 points. Margaret Fueher won 2nd place with 255 points. Bill Milne won 3rd place with 245 points. After the games, refreshments were provided by Card Club. Beverages were provided by HACAP.

On Tuesday, September 18th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Maureen Haisman was the volunteer caller. JoAnn Roster handpicked the games. Game one was a Check Mark with Hazel Eastwood winning. Game two was the Top and Bottom Line with JoAnn Roster winning. Game three was Wild Number Three Bingos with Hazel Eastwood winning. Game four was the Letter “W” with Faye Goodell and June Salerno winning. June Salerno and Greta Geiken both won game five with Blackout.

On Wednesday, September 19th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Wendy Pennington won the volunteer caller. Faye Goodell handpicked the games. Game one was a Slanted 7 with Mae Wilhelmi winning. Game two was a Picnic Table with George Eckhart winning. Game three was a 9-Pack with Clete Friedman winning. Game four was a Postage Stamp with Paul Fix winning. Clete Friedman and Geri Shaffer won gave five with Blackout.

On Thursday, September 20th, we welcomed the Newhall Golden Girls as our guests. The afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Vickie Holst was the volunteer caller. Evelyn Greenwood handpicked the games. Game one was a 9-Pack with Orville Ellingson winning. Game two was a Picnic Table with Geri Shaffer winning. Game three was a Telephone Pole with Clete Friedman winning. Game four was Wild Number Three Bingos with George Eckhart winning. June Salerno won game five with a Blackout.

On Friday, September 21st, the afternoon activity was a 500 Card Party with 4 tables of players. Margaret Fueher won 1st place with 4,030 points. Nellie Cobb won 2nd place with 3,880 points. Clete Friedman won 3rd place with 3,830 points. After the games, refreshments were provided by Card Club. Beverages were provided by HACAP.
