Serving Buffet from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday. A choice of salads is available on the buffet.
Everyone is WELCOME! Suggested contribution for individuals 60 years old or older, and their spouse (regardless of age) is $2.75 for the meal. Individuals who are not yet 60 are WELCOME but need to pay $3.75 for their meal. Carryout meals are available. We deliver meals to Vinton, Newhall, Urbana, and Garrison/Mt Auburn. The suggested contribution is $3.00/meal if you are 60 or older. We also have nutritious frozen meals and liquid supplements. Delivery is throughout Benton County. Please call 319-472-4761 for more information about services or to reserve a table for groups of 3c or more.
Each month the 4th St Diner has a special day set aside to celebrate birthdays for that month. It is always scheduled for the second Tuesday of each month. Anyone having a birthday for that particular month is encouraged to make a reservation for themselves and any guests they would like to celebrate with. The names of all birthday celebrants who have made a reservation for the Birthday Table are entered into the door prize drawing. We currently have two door prizes scheduled for each month. The first is $5 in Vinton Unlimited Value Dollars generously donated by Vinton Unlimited. The second is a gift certificate for a free 4th Street Diner meal. Reservations for the Birthday Dinner table can be made by calling 472-4761. Reservations need to be made by 10:00 AM on the day of the celebration.

On Monday, October 22nd, the activity of the day was a Pepper Card Party. There were four tables of players. Leroy Weiser won 1st place with 281 points. Merle Roths won 2nd place with 229 points. Third place went to Hazel Eastwood with 213 points. After the games, refreshments were provided by Card Club. Beverages were provided by HACAP.
On Tuesday, October 23rd, The afternoon musical entertainment was provided by Hauser and O’Deen Music.
On Wednesday, October 24th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Wendy Pennington was the volunteer caller. June Salerno handpicked the games. Game one was the Letter “X” with Faye Goodell winning. Game two was Wild Number Three Bingos with Marion Isbell winning. Game three was a 9-Pack with Marion Isbell winning. Game four was All Around the Outside with Greta Geiken winning. Greta Geiken won game five with Blackout.
On Thursday, October 25th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Vickie Holst was the volunteer caller. Clete Friedman handpicked the games. Game one was the Letter “M” with Hazel Eastwood winning. Game two was the Letter “W” with June Salerno winning. Game three was Wild Number Three Bingos with George Eckhart winning. Game four was a 9-Pack with Hazel Eastwood winning. Clete Friedman won game five with a Blackout.
On Friday, October 26th, there were 6 tables of 500 played. Leroy Weiser won 1st place with 3,990 points. Margaret Fuehrer won 2nd place with 3,650 points. Milo Cobb won 3rd place with 3,030 points. After the games, refreshments were provided by Card Club. Beverages were provided by HACAP.
On Monday, October 29th, there were 4 tables of Pepper Cards played. Bill Milne won 1st place with 343 points. Esther Novotny won 2nd place with 303 points. Frances Kelly won 3rd place with 265 points. After the games, refreshments were provided by Card Club. Beverages were provided by HACAP.
On Tuesday, October 30th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Maureen Haisman was the volunteer caller. Elsie Knaack handpicked the games. Game one was the Letter “H” for Halloween with Faye Goodell winning. Game two was a 9-Pack with Hazel Eastwood winning. Game three was a Stair Steps with JoAnn Roster winning. Game four was Four Postage Stamps with JoAnn Roster winning. Hazel Eastwood won on game five with Blackout.
On Wednesday, October 31st, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Wendy Pennington was the volunteer caller. The games were handpicked by Evelyn Greenwood. Game one was a 9-Pack with JoAnn Roster winning. Game two was Wild Numbers Three Bingos with Greta Geiken winning. Game three was the Letter “F” with Geri Shaffer winning. Game four was Four Corners and Frame the Free Spot with Evelyn Greenwood winning. Greta Geiken won game five with a blackout.
On Thursday, November 1st, the afternoon entertainment was provided by Riggle Roster music.
On Friday, November 2nd, the afternoon activity was a 500 Card Party with 5 tables of players. Irene Geiger won 1st place with 2,990 points. Nellie Cobb won 2nd place with 2,720 points. Merle Roths won 3rd place with 2,510 points. After the games, refreshments were provided by Card Club. Beverages were provided by HACAP.
