Entertainment : In Depth: 'The Other Woman'

“The Other Woman” brings a bit of twisted fun and summer laughs to the Palace silver screen Friday, June 6 through Thursday, June 12 at 7 pm, and Monday, June 9 at 2 pm.

Carly (Cameron Diaz) and Kate (Leslie Mann) realize they love the same cheating man and vow revenge.  Enter Amber (Kate Upton), the other other woman.

Rated PG-13 for thematic material and sex, this is a movie best seen with your girlfriends, not your elementary student.  Men, I don’t know what to tell you, other than Kate Upton is a former super model.  However, due to the subject matter – enter at your own risk.

Two things I need to mention – Don Johnson plays Cameron Diaz’ dad.  What?  When did Don Johnson transition from leading man to the protagonist’s father?  And, wait….I’m older than Cameron Diaz?

Also:  “As Carly’s tough-love assistant, Nicki Minajis a scene-stealer in her first on-screen role; her performance is one of the film’s few consistent pleasures.” ~Christy Lemire

Shocking!  As far as I’m concerned Nicki Minaj is a Lil’ Mama wannabe.  Who knew she could act!?  Not familiar with the female gangsta rap world?  Count your blessings.
