“Transformers: Age of Extinction,” the fourth in the sci-fi action toy series starring Mark Wahlberg, takes the Palace by storm Friday, August  1 through Thursday, August 7 at 7 pm, and Monday, August 4 at 2 pm.

According to Paramount: An epic battle left a great city torn, but with the world saved. As humanity picks up the pieces, a shadowy group reveals itself in an attempt to control the direction of history...while an ancient, powerful new menace sets Earth in its crosshairs. With help from a new cast of humans (led by Mark Wahlberg), Optimus Prime and the Autobots rise to meet their most fearsome challenge yet. In an incredible adventure, they are swept up in a war of good and evil, ultimately leading to a climactic battle across the world.

This 3D adventure is rated PG-13 for violence and language, and runs two and a half hours.  Fans of loud special effects action will thoroughly enjoy this movie.  I recommend skipping dinner in favor of a Super Popcorn!

AUGUST CONTINUES

Following “Transformers 4” the Palace will screen “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes,” “Planes: Fire & Rescue,” “And So It Goes,” and “Guardians of the Galaxy.”
