Entertainment : In Depth: 'Zootopia' is the ultimate animal cop film

As a huge Law and Order fan, I’m psyched about “Zootopia,” the ultimate animal cop film.

“Zootopia,” in 3D, the one the kids have been waiting for, and the one we’ve already sold 168 tickets for, opens Friday, April 8 and plays through Thursday, April 14. We’ve got showings every night at 7 pm, and Monday at 2 pm.

Ginnifer Goodwin voices Bunny Hops, a small town rabbit who’s told she won’t cut it as a police officer in Zootopia because there’s never been a bunny cop. That job is usually handled by big, strong animals, like the water buffalo police captain, voiced by Idris Elba. Hops manages to make it through the police academy only to be given meter maid duty. Eventually she ends up partnered with a red fox named Nick Wild, voiced by Jason Bateman, a small-time hustler who reluctantly helps her investigate the disappearances of a dozen predators.
