It’s been so long! But well worth the wait – I promise! The Palace Theatre reopens after a 2-week hiatus on Friday, October 8 with “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,” playing through Thursday, October 14 at 7 p.m. every night, and Monday, October 11 at 2 p.m.

Palace patrons have waited patiently for this PG-13-rated vampire flick. Third in the series, “Eclipse” continues the Bella-Edward-Jacob triangle, with both vampire and werewolf vowing to protect the girl they love from Victoria, the vampire temptress whose boyfriend was murdered in the second Twilight installment.

TWILIGHT PARTY AT THE PALACE

As promised a few weeks ago, in thanks for your willingness to wait, the Palace will reserve seats for groups of 16 or more. For this movie only, email or call in your reservation, including seat preferences, and the Palace Staff will put out your seat savers.

One catch ~ the person making the reservation is responsible for the admission cost of all seats reserved. In other words, if someone in your party doesn’t show you will still be required to pay for that seat.

OCTOBER SCHEDULE

Following “Eclipse,” the Palace shows “Easy A,” Iowa vs. Michigan, “Get Low,” and “The Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole.” Pick up a schedule at the theatre or check it out online at www.vintonpalace.org.

LOOKING GOOD

Thanks to Dave Morrow and McDowells, Allan and Teresa Merchant, Barnes Furniture, and Versatile Builders, Inc. (Mitchell Hendryx and Michael Van Wechel) our box office, lobby and restrooms have received a much-needed facelift. They’ve all worked with and around each other (and around the clock!) to renovate the office, install new vinyl flooring, and paint…everything!

While these folks toiled in the front, Beck Studios installed new rigging in the auditorium to enable us to lift the silver screen for ACT I and other stage performances. (First up – country singer/song writer Gary Morris plays the Palace on Sunday, November 7. Tickets may be purchased at www.vintonpalace.org.)

So…things are a big mess at the theatre right now, but the end is near. I’m confident (really!) that we’ll have everything finished, vacuumed, dusted and ready for business by Friday night’s “Eclipse” opening. Get your tickets today!
