New this week to the Palace Theatre is the sports movie Greater, a story of football, faith, and the amazing achievements of football player Brandon Burlsworth. Christopher Severio plays the role of Burslworth, a heavyset Arkansas kid with small skills and a big dream. He was arguably the greatest walk on (read: non-scholarship) player in the history of college football. The film chronicles his journey from a college kid with no support from his team or coaches to a player that was well respected on and off the field. Throughout his journey Burslworth maintains a positive attitude, befriends his teammates and adversaries, leads Bible studies, and even becomes the only Razorback to ever earn both a Bachelor's and Master's degree while playing football. When tragedy strikes, the Razorback community unites in a way that would have been impossible without Burlsworth's ability to touch the lives of those around him.
Greater is rated PG and runs 131 minutes. It will be showing at the Palace Theatre from Friday, October 21 to Thursday, October 27 at 7 pm, and on Monday, October 24 at 2 pm.
