Entertainment : In Depth - Bumblebee

"Bumblebee" is an incredibly nice breath of fresh air compared to the previous Transformers movies. If you have been scarred or turned off by the Michael Bay version of the franchise, then this movie is certainly a welcomed change of pace. -Emmanuel Noisette NOW SHOWING BUMBLEBEE 3D Friday, February 15 through Thursday, February 21 at 7 pm Monday, February 18 at 2 pm Rated PG Running Time 114 minutes Confession: I've never seen a Transformers movie. But I've mentioned to a few patrons, and my son, that I thought the "Bumblebee" trailer looked intriguing. Every single one of those polled told me they were pretty much over the series. Which, in reading critics reviews, seems to be the consensus. However, they all go on to say "Bumblebee is a refreshing update! Rotten Tomatoes gives it a 93% FRESH rating. Several reviewers compared it to a John Hughes 80's film. Hmmm. At $3 (Sunday and Tuesday) and $4, you've got nothing to lose. So pack up the kids and let's have popcorn for dinner tonight!
