The annual jam - originally dubbed the Idiot Jam in honor of Todd Frank of Vinton, whose guitar forum was nicknamed The Village Idiot, the jam took place on Saturday night to a packed house at Garrison's Farmers Mercantile.

Several area groups sang and or played and entertained as a benefit for the Garrison Library. The mostly acoustic accompaniment was met with applause and appreciation from the crowd that gathered for the annual event.

Local artists as well as those from as far away as Colorado shared their expertise on their instruments. Sharing some of their original work as well as some oldies, the group performed for over 2 1/2 hours.

Be sure to grab your calendar and mark it down the next time that this event is held, you really won't want to miss it!
