612 1st Ave- Josh & Katie Hopkins of Benton County Historical Society Paranormal Tours and Lollman Paranormal (Dan, Cory and Tia Lollman) have completed the filming of the documentary House of 1859: Haunting of the Horridge House and have set the premiere to release in Vinton on August 5, 2023. The documentary was filmed and produced by Cory Lollman. Josh Heard of Malvern Manor was also a part of the film.
The documentary will feature the history of Vinton, the history of the Horridge Family and the Horridge House. It will also showcase the paranormal investigation that was completed by the Hopkins', Lollmans' and Josh Heard over three nights in March.
Premiere Details: The premiere will take place at the Vinton-Shellsburg High School Auditorium. The premiere begins at 1:00pm and doors open at 12:15pm. The documentary is approximately an hour and a half long. There are three ticket packages that guests can choose from. The cheapest ticket is $5 and that is for the documentary viewing only. The Bundle package is $10 and that includes: documentary showing, Lollman Paranormal wristband, 8x11 movie poster, meet & greet with the cast, and a tour of the Horridge House. The final ticket option is $20 and has limited availability and that is the All-Inclusive plus paranormal investigation ticket. This includes everything within the Bundle package plus an investigation of the Horridge House.
The tours of the Horridge House will start promptly at 4:00pm. Each guest will be given a group number and a time of arrival for their tour at the Horridge House. Guests are asked to arrive at least 15 minutes early to the Horridge House for their tour.
Josh & Katie Hopkins are local paranormal investigators and authors. Katie is originally from Benton County (Walford, Iowa) and is the Vice President of the Benton County Historical Society Board of Directors. They come with over 11 years of experience in the paranormal field and experience with managing historic and haunted locations. Their paranormal experiences have taken them on many journeys. They have been featured on numerous news stations and YouTube shows. Josh was also a part of the Edinburgh Manor episode of "Ghost Adventures". Katie graduated with her Bachelor of Arts Degree in History (specialization in Civil War History) in 2010 from the University of Northern Iowa, ultimately which led to her interest in the paranormal. She has also been featured on "My Ghost Story" when it was on the Bio Channel.
Lollman Paranormal has been an official team since early 2020. However, the paranormal was always something that fascinated them, and they were big fans of and they decided they wanted to investigate locations. They have investigated multiple locations around Iowa. Their team consists of Cory Lollman, Dan Lollman and Tia Lollman. They have investigated the Horridge House and Train Depot multiple times and have presented a lot of evidence from those investigations.
Josh Heard is a paranormal author, lecturer, filmmaker, narrator and investigator. Josh has loved all things paranormal since his first encounters when he was just entering adolescence. He will be giving a presentation and having a meet and greet with him after the house tour and cemetery tour. Heard has written six books and done 17 documentary films over the past few years. Josh is also one of the owners of Malvern Manor in Malvern, IA where he gives tours and does special events. Josh is also a member of the G Crew Show with co-hosts Nick Groff, Chad Lindberg, and Johnny Houser. Josh has been featured on Paranormal Lockdown, Destination Fear, and Haunting in the Heartland.
