Have you wanted to get into the filmmaking? Do you have the chops? Maybe you have the perfect location.
Noah Lindauer is seeking a couple of things here in the Vinton area. He is working on a feature film that will film this November.
While he's been out of town over the last few years, he's been gaining experience as a cameraman and working with other filmmakers to create meaningful and compelling films.
"I’ve been building up my craft and I have decided it’s my turn to create something again!" Lindauer said. He's spent time crawling through Elk droppings in the mountains of Oregon to film a hunting television show. He's also worked two full seasons with the Orlando Valkyriesat, a professional volleyball team in Florida. Lindauer has also had an opportunity to run his own camera crews on feature films around Iowa with budgets upward of $2 million he said.
"I’ve felt Iowa is still the most meaningful place to make my films," he said. This brings him to his next project. He will be shooting a film in the area during the month of November. "The film centers around a wedding videographer that captures a murder at a wedding," he described. "Making films in Iowa is pretty uncommon, and I haven’t really heard much being filmed around here outside of ‘Field of Dreams’ but I would love to change that!"
He plans to shoot in Eastern Iowa in and around Jones County, but he is also looking for locations close to Vinton which would be specifically a "Producers Home," that would include a nice living room and a home office.
Lindauer is also searching for an actress to co-star alongside the wedding videographer in the film. The actress would be -
'Hannah' in her early 20s
-Hannah is the director in the filmmaking friend group.
-She is witty, intelligent and will do anything to get her career in film, going so as to sell her soul to the devil if necessary.
Lindauer said that this would be a non-paying role, but will include housing, gas reimbursement, and meals for 14 days of production from November 10-24, 2024. He added that the character will be needed on set every day.
"I’m also currently in the process of funding, we have a goal of raising $7,000 that will go toward housing and food costs for our cast and crew as well as going towards location rentals and costumes. If anyone is interested in donating, they will get their name in the credits as well as a free ticket to any days on set/premieres we will be having!" he added.
Lindauer wanted to pass this along to the people of Vinton and give you a chance to be part of this project.
If you would like to make a donation toward the project, you can make a donation by Venmo @noah-lindauer or checks can be mailed or dropped off at Farmers Savings Bank to be deposited into the film account, “DBA Lindauer Productions.”
