Bring grandma, grandpa, and the kids for “Puss in Boots” in fabulous RealD 3D!

Take advantage of added showings, Friday, November 25 through Thursday, December 1 at 7 p.m. every night, and Saturday, November 26 and Monday, November 28 at 2 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at www.vintonpalace.org, or purchase in advance at the theatre.

“Puss in Boots” is an obvious spin off from the “Shrek” franchise, with Antonio Banderas returning to voice the feisty Spanish feline. Critics admit to being skeptical about this animated film’s success, but all have been pleasantly surprised, deeming “Puss” much better than the recent “Shrek” offerings.

Salma Hayek as Kitty Southpaws, Zach Galifianakis as Humpty Dumpty, Billy Bob Thorton and Amy Sedaris as Jack and Jill all join the voice over cast to present a delightfully inventive new take on a classic fairy tale.

Rated PG for adventure action and mild rude humor, and running 90 minutes, “Puss in Boots” is a perfect outlet for the whole family over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Tired of leftover turkey and Aunt Mabel’s custard pie? Bring on the hot, buttered popcorn and Milk Duds!

COURAGEOUS

Despite its limited release, Frank was able to procure the Christian movie “Courageous,” which opens at the Palace on December 2. Church groups of 20 or more may call in for reservations, however payment must be made in advance and no refunds will be available.

Four men, one calling: To serve and protect. As law enforcement officers, Adam Mitchell, Nathan Hayes, David Thomson, and Shane Fuller are confident and focused. Yet at the end of the day, they face a challenge that none of them are truly prepared to tackle: fatherhood. When tragedy hits home, these men are left wrestling with their hopes, their fears, their faith, and their fathering.

Filled with action-packed police drama, “Courageous” is the fourth film from Sherwood Pictures, the moviemaking ministry of Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia, that in 2008 brought viewers “Fireproof.” Riveted moviegoers will once again find themselves laughing, crying, and cheering as they are challenged and inspired by everyday heroes who desire to be the kinds of dads that make a lifelong impact on their children.

December calendars are available on the website, www.vintonpalace.org, or at the theatre. Following “Courageous” we’re excited to show “Happy Feet Two,” “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn,” “The Muppets,” and “Hugo.”

Enjoy the holidays at the Palace!
