Despite its limited release, Frank was able to procure the Christian movie “Courageous,” which opens at the Palace on Friday, December 2 and runs through Thursday, December 8 at 7 p.m. every evening, and at 2 p.m. on Monday.
Church groups of 20 or more may call in for reservations, however payment must be made in advance and no refunds will be available.
Four men, one calling: To serve and protect. As law enforcement officers, Adam Mitchell, Nathan Hayes, David Thomson, and Shane Fuller are confident and focused. Yet at the end of the day, they face a challenge that none of them are truly prepared to tackle: fatherhood. When tragedy hits home, these men are left wrestling with their hopes, their fears, their faith, and their fathering.
Filled with action-packed police drama, “Courageous” is the fourth film from Sherwood Pictures, the moviemaking ministry of Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia, that in 2008 brought viewers “Fireproof.” Riveted moviegoers will once again find themselves laughing, crying, and cheering as they are challenged and inspired by everyday heroes who desire to be the kinds of dads that make a lifelong impact on their children.
This movie runs 130 minutes and is rated PG-13.
December calendars are available on the website, www.vintonpalace.org, or at the theatre. Following “Courageous” we’re excited to show “Happy Feet Two,” “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn,” “The Muppets,” and “Hugo.”
Enjoy the holidays at the Palace!
Saw "Courageous" in Cedar Rapids, since I had heard you were not going to be getting it. What a great movie! I feel that every parent, grandparent and potential should see this! Thanks for getting it in Vinton. ~CH
