Our schedule is a bit different, due to the holidays – we’re closed on Christmas, but adding extra matinees during the week. “The Muppets” will play Friday, December 23 at 7 p.m., Saturday, December 24 at 2 p.m. only, Monday and Wednesday, December 26 and 28 at 2 and 7 p.m., and Tuesday and Thursday, December 27 and 29 at 7 p.m.
Your kids may not know the Muppets, but it’s definitely past time. Indeed the premise of this movie is that the Muppets have broken up and all gone their separate ways. One Muppet, Walter, lives with Gary (Jason Segal – “How I Met You Mother” – love him!) Gary is one human who truly misses the Muppets, and sets out to reunite the troop.
Gary’s girlfriend, Mary (Amy Adams – love her, too!) is not thrilled that Gary lives with a Muppet, but agrees to join him on his quest for all things Muppet. They find Miss Piggy, now the managing editor of a Paris magazine, and then head to Hollywood to “put the band back together.”
Hope you’ll join us for some light-hearted fun at the theatre for the holidays. Bring the whole family! “The Muppets” is rated PG for some mild rude humor (probably Animal), and runs 98 minutes.
CHAIR CLUB
We’ve recently renewed our efforts to raise money for the Palace Chair Club, with hopes of installing the new seats in the new year.
In November we placed a sample chair in the lobby for patrons to try. Please note that the new seats will be a bit wider than the sample seat, and indeed, seats in the back four rows of the main floor auditorium will be four inches wider than those! We are excited to offer a taller, more ample rocker style chair that we think will complete your movie-going experience, making the Palace your “home theatre” destination.
In addition to the new seats, we are looking at exciting balcony make‐over options we hope to unveil early next year, including plush VIP seating. We expect our VIP sample seat to arrive soon, so be sure to check it out.
Contribution forms are available in the lobby of the theatre. Thanks for remembering the Palace Chair Club fund in your year-end giving.
JANUARY
The January schedule is here! You can pick up hard copies at the Palace, and hopefully Gerald will update the website today! Looking forward to sequels of “Sherlock Holmes,” “Alvin and the Chipmunks,” “Mission Impossible,” and one new film – “We Bought a Zoo.”
