Kevin James stars as a former high school wrestler now high school sociology teacher who becomes an MMA fighter to save the music teacher’s job due to school cutbacks. A noble and all too familiar cause, with a very imaginative solution! The music teacher is played by Henry Winkler – yep – Arthur Fonzarelli, the Fonz.
This movie is rated PG because of the punching. I had to Google MMA – Mixed Martial Arts. Oh, OK.
“Here Comes the Boom” runs in our regular schedule at the Palace, Friday, November 2 through Thursday, November 8 at 7 p.m., and Monday afternoon, November 5 at 2 p.m.
Obviously I’m not a big fight fan, but I’m going to watch this one because of Kevin James and Henry Winkler. If you haven’t watched Kevin James in “Hitch” and you need a good laugh, rent it soon. And, the Fonz. Back when there were only three channels, kids, we had Sunday, Monday, Happy Days!
