I’ll say it again – 2012 was an amazing year for Oscar movies. Rarely does the Academy have so many watchable films to choose from.

“Silver Linings Playbook” is one of those offerings. I’m thrilled that Palace patrons have a last chance opportunity to catch this classic comedy on the big screen.

“Silver Linings Playbook,” starring Bradley Cooper and the incomparable Jennifer Lawrence, plays the Palace Friday, March 29 through Thursday, April 4 at 7 pm, and Monday, April 1 at 2 pm.

“Playbook” tells the story of Pat (Cooper), recently released from a mental facility and living with his parents, Pat Sr. (Robert de Niro) and Delores (Jacki Weaver). Estranged from his ex-wife, Pat is determined to prove his remorse, and sanity, and rekindle that relationship.

22-year-old Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence is a young widow living in the neighborhood, who understands where Pat is coming from, and may be a bit crazy, as well.

“Silver Linings Playbook” is rated R for for language and some sexual content and nudity.

Last time I’ll say it this year – See you at the Oscars!
