ONLY THREE CHANCES to revisit an old favorite at the Palace!

“Jurassic Park 3D” will play Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, May 3, 4, 5 at 7 p.m.

Steven Spielberg's sci-fi adventure thriller technologically advanced twenty years! “Jurassic Park,” based on the novel by Michael Crighton, tells the story of two dinosaur experts, Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neill) and Dr. Ellie Sattler Laura Dern), invited by eccentric millionaire John Hammond (Richard Attenborough) to check out his novel new amusement park on an island off Costa Rica. By cloning DNA harvested from pre-historic insects, Hammond has been able to create living dinosaurs for Jurassic Park, an animal preserve in the jungle filled with brachiosaurs, dilophosaurs, triceratops, velociraptors, and a Tyrannosaur Rex. Accompanied by cynical scientist Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum), who is obsessed with chaos theory, and Hammond's two grandchildren (Ariana Richards and Joseph Mazzello), they are sent to tour the park.

When a tropical storm hits the island, knocking out the power supply, and an unscrupulous employee (Wayne Knight) sabotages the system so that he can smuggle dinosaur embryos out of the park, the dinosaurs start to rage out of control.

This movie is SCARY, SCARY fun! Like riding a terrifying, ferocious roller coaster for two nailing-biting hours. If you caught it the first time around in 1993, you won’t want to miss this reboot in amazing RealD 3D. Your older kids who haven’t seen it need to.

I don’t recommend a steady fright diet, but a healthy scare every so often is good for your heart. Right?

Here’s what you’ll need to watch this movie: $4. Popcorn and lots of it! (Try not to get butter on your 3D glasses when you’re covering your eyes!) And somebody to hold tight!

The Palace will be closed Monday through Wednesday to clean up the spilled popcorn and ready the stage for ACT I’s “The Odd Couple: Female Version.” Tickets for this hilarious romp are available at www.act1.org.
