IFAA Offers Iowa Youth $97,000 in Scholarships
IFAA Offers Iowa Youth $97,000 in Scholarships
College-bound Iowa youth active in 4-H and/or FFA livestock projects and current undergraduate students may apply for $97,000 in scholarships available from the Iowa Foundation for Agricultural Advancement (IFAA).
The scholarships are available to freshmen entering any Iowa two- or four-year post-secondary institution this fall or current undergraduates attending Iowa State University.

New Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) Policy Enacted
John R. Whitaker, State Executive Director for the Iowa Farm Service Agency announced that there is a new Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) policy for 2012. In addition to the current regulations, this new policy reviews the combination of both farm and non-farm limitations and if these together exceed $1 million, program participants are ineligible for direct payments under the DCP and/or ACRE programs.

Nathan Horst named to Creighton Dean's List
Nathan Horst of Blairstown, a sophomore College of Arts and Sciences student at Creighton University was named to the fall Dean's List for the 2011-2012 academic year.
Full-time students who earn a 3.5 grade-point average or better on a 4.0 scale are eligible for the Dean's Honor Roll.
