The Iowa Lakes Community College Foundation has awarded scholarships to nearly 350 students to help pay for college. Scholarships awarded by the Iowa Lakes Foundation are funded by Iowa Lakes alumni, community members, and businesses to provide students with the chance to overcome financial obstacles as they pursue a quality education at Iowa Lakes Community College and beyond.

Iowa Lakes Community College releases the Spring 2022 Honors Lists recognizing students who achieve the highest academic standards earning inclusion on the President's Honor List or Dean's List. For the Spring 2022 semester, 109 students made the President's Honor List, an honor achieved by those who recorded a 4.0 GPA, and 191 students made the Dean's List of students who earned a 3.

On May 13, Mount Mercy University pinned over 50 nursing graduates at the Nursing Pinning Ceremony. Graduates Grace Herring '22 and Michael Riches '22 were featured as student speakers at the event. Camryn Foote '22 read a poem she wrote for the nursing class of 2022. Two nursing awards were given out. The Sister Mary Edward McConohy Nursing Award was given to Jada Veasey '22.
