IFAA Scholarship Winner Isaac Whiley Announced
Isaac Wiley of Walker, IA was awarded the $5,000 Sinclair Tractor Ag Business Scholarship by the Iowa Foundation for Agricultural Advancement (IFAA) during the Iowa State Fair Sale of Champions on Saturday August 21, 2021. Isaac’s parents are Todd and Denise Wiley.The IFAA established the Winner's Circle Scholarship Program in 1990 to provide incentives for college-bound youth seeking post-secondary education in an area of agriculture.

Grant Severtsgaard of the Bruce Boosters in Benton County, brought in a first place ribbon with his State Fair Entry. He preserved and mounted a wild turkey fan. Severtsgaard entered this into the Iowa State Fair Exhibits & Communications competition in the Static department of the Ag & Natural Resources, under the Fish & Wildlife class. Top dairy farms competed for honors in the Brown Swiss Dairy Cattle show judged August 13 at the 2021 Iowa State Fair.Knapp Genetics of Epworth received Grand Champion Female honors, and Uluru Swiss Acres of Clermont showed the Reserve Grand Champion Female.Lee-Anns Swiss L.L.C. of De Witt claimed the Champion Premier Exhibitor and Champion Premier Breeder titles.

Dairies competed for top honors in the Jersey Dairy Cattle show judged August 13 at the 2021 Iowa State Fair.The Grand Champion Female was shown by Rachel Hefel/Gene Henderson/Joe Gibbs, Epworth. Schulte Bros, Blairstown exhibited the Reserve Grand Champion Female. KCCI Genetics, Dyersville, received Honorable Mention.Schulte Bros. of Blairstown earned Champion Premier Exhibitor and Reserve Premier Breeder.

Top dairies competed for honors in the Holstein Dairy Cattle show judged August 12 at the 2021 Iowa State Fair.Farnear Holsteins, Farley, exhibited the Grand Champion Female and the Senior Champion Female.Rick Demmer, Peosta, was awarded Premier Breeder at the Iowa State Fair this year. Hawkeye-JK Holsteins, Ashton, was awarded Premier Exhibitor.The Premier Breeder Award is given to the competitor who earns the most points for animals bred and exhibited by the entrant or others during the day's show.
