The following students were are among those named to the Spring 2020 semester Dean's List at the University of Northern Iowa.To be included on the list, a student must have earned a grade point of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, while taking at least 12 hours of graded work during the semester. On the 4.0 system, an A is worth four points; a B, three points; a C, two points, and a D, one point.

More than 12,500 Iowa State University students have been recognized for outstanding academic achievement by being named to the spring semester 2020 Dean's List. The University of Wisconsin-River Falls spring semester Dean's List honoring 2,210 students has been released by Registrar Kelly Browning.To be named to the Dean's List, a full-time undergraduate must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 on a scale of 4.0, or midway between an "A" and "B" average. The following area student was named to the Dean's List at Clarke University for the Spring 2020 semester. Virginia Gay Hospital, Clinics, Home Health, Nursing & Rehab and the Virginia Gay Hospital Health Care Foundation have announced the recipients of their annual scholarship awards to area students. This year a total of $10,000 was awarded to high school seniors in the Benton Community, Center Point-Urbana and Vinton-Shellsburg school districts pursuing degrees in nursing or human health professions.

VSCSD announces Iowa Biliteracy Seal Recipients[Vinton, IA] June 8, 2020 – The Vinton-Shellsburg Community School District is pleased to announce that eleven students from the Class of 2020 have earned Biliteracy Seals from the State of Iowa. Those receiving the award under the guidance of VSCSD Spanish instructor Michele Lash include Charles Dudley, Sonnie Evans, Hunter Hazen, Lauren Hendryx, Davia Herger, Lillie Lamont, Caroline Lang, Wesley Mott, Jordan Pattee, Raeleigh Schulte, and Lauren Upmeyer.

Valerie Newhouse, President of Iowa Lakes Community College, has released the spring honors list of full-time students (12 credits or more) who have demonstrated academic excellence by earning a grade point average of 3.25 (based on a 4.00) or higher. Spring semester students who have achieved a 3.25 grade point average or better are recognized by inclusion on the dean's list.
