On Thursday April 3, 2014 the Vinton-Shellsburg FFA Chapter had their annual labor auction. At 7 o’clock PM, many FFA member and community members came to the high school gym for our biggest fundraiser of the year.

Each member that is sold, is sold for an 8 hour day of work to be done whenever the buyer calls them.

This year, the chapter had a total of 47 freshman, sophomores, juniors, seniors, and advisors sold to a long list of community members and supporters of our chapter. From the auction, the chapter raised just under $13,000 dollars to go into the chapter account and to help pay for national convention, state convention, and many other things throughout the year.

The chapter is very grateful for the support it receives from our community and a big thanks to everyone who came to our labor auction!
