North Eden Willing Workers, Bruce Boosters and Harrison Willing Workers all met at Hickory Hills Park in Dysart on May 4th. Each club had their own short meeting. After the meetings, the clubs all played several games and then everyone ate supper. Thanks for Bruce Boosters for hosting this year. Everyone had a great time.
NEWW meeting notes: Melissa handed out fair books to all of the families present. Anyone not there can contact Melissa to get their copy. The fair schedule is on the back of the fair book. At the fair this year, our club is scheduled for the morning judging time on Wednesday. All projects have to be checked in by 2:00pm on Wednesday or they will not be judged. No exceptions.
Anyone who wants to participate in the Fashion Review, $15 Challenge, Working exhibits and/or Share the Fun must register by July 1st. Contact Melissa if you have questions about any of these.
Intermediate members can sign up to help the judges either in the morning or afternoon sessions. You can also volunteer to man the 4-H Information booth. Let Melissa know as soon as possible if you are interested in volunteering to help.
We discussed the t-shirt design and the votes were very close. Melissa will be sending out an electronic order form so members can order new shirts for the fair. Anyone showing must wear a 4-H or club t-shirt at the show.
We discussed going to Habitat for Humanity Restore in Cedar Rapids for an afternoon project. More details to come.
We discussed the livestock tour and doing a late afternoon or evening visit the week of July 7th. We are going to separate the livestock tour and the project achievement show, so there is plenty of time for each. Doing it in one day is hard to get it all done.
Be sure to keep an eye on your e-mail for future meeting info.
