The North Eden Willing Workers 4-H Club met Sunday, October 5th at 4:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vinton. A get-to-know activity was held before the meeting. The business meeting was opened at 5:00 with the pledges and roll call, which was "What is your favorite Halloween costume?" 26 members were present.
After the officers' reports, the club moved on to Old Business. This year's County Fair was discussed, and livestock exhibitors praised for Herdsmanship successes in Poultry and Beef. Premium checks were explained to new members. A thank-you note was read to the club. In New Business, members were encouraged to register online for the new 4-H year at iowa4honline.com. Registration fees should be paid to the club. The club also has new resources available to members, which can be picked up at future meetings.
A possible grant for the club's community improvement activities was discussed, as well as an upcoming workshop for poultry exhibitors. October 5th to 12th was 4-H Week and the club moved that members would wear green or 4-H clothing on Thursday, the 9th. The club's Code of Expectations was also reviewed.
Election of Officers was held by ballot. The new officers will be installed at the next meeting. They are as follows:

- Vice President: Jonathon Kreutner
- Treasurer: Brock Radeke
- Secretary: Rachel Tandy
- Reporter: Bailey Weeks
- Historians: Tess Lillibridge, Lydia Radeke, Maren Redlinger
- Photographers: Lauren Tandy, Bryce Radeke
Committee meetings were held following elections. Snacks were provided by the Gloede, Becker, Bierschenk and Walton families. Next, presentations were given. Abby Gloede showed the club how to make a delicious Halloween treat. Samantha Walton demonstrated how to make a cupcake bouquet. Anna Becker taught the club how to make a Santa Claus craft out of paintbrushes. Tess Lillibridge showed the club how to make a headband. Sarah Kreutner presented on the topic of how to give a presentation. The meeting was adjourned at 6:50 p.m.
The next meeting of the North Eden Willing Workers will be held Sunday, November 2nd at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vinton at 5:30 p.m. Scheduled to give presentations are Weston Bierschenk, Alex Pladsen, Brock Radeke, Maren Redlinger, Jenna Pattee and Bailey Weeks. The Redlingers and Pattees are scheduled to bring snacks. There will also be an Officer Training meeting held Saturday, October 25th at 4:00 p.m. at the Vinton Pizza Ranch.
