Et cetera : VFW thanks businesses for support of Poppy Days

VFW members thank Terry Ehlinger for his support of Poppy Days.

On Saturday, Nov. 8, VFW Post 8884 members and auxiliary members distributed poppies in several businesses in the Vinton area, including: Fareway, Theisen's, Johns Quick Stop and Ehlingers. The VFW presented certificates of thanks to each business.

Donations from the poppy project go towards emergency funding for vets, youth education, supporting the van which takes Benton County vets to VA facilities at no charge to the them, and other support for veterans and their families. It also helped fund the classroom flag project. If anyone wishes to donate to any of these projects, pleace contact any VFW or Auxiliary member.
