Et cetera : Bev Fiebelkorn hopes first block picnic will become annual event

"We are having our 1st Block Picnic in the southwest part of Vinton. We are meeting at the Kiwanis Park Don Lane Pavilion at6:00 pm for social hour and 6:30 for dinner," reports Bev Fiebelkorn.

The picnic is tonight, Friday August 20.

"This will be a good way to meet our neighbors and hopefully this occasion will blossom into even a bigger event next year. This may be also the start of something in our beautiful town of Vinton as other neighborhoods may join the pleasure of getting to know one's neighbors and friends. Our reservation list for tonight is 29 which is a good start," says Bev.
