Wartburg College awarded diplomas to 331 students during Spring Commencement Sunday, May 22.

Andrew Heckroth of Dysart graduated with a degree in History. He is the son of Kendall & Kathryn Heckroth.

Cole Hinders of Dysart graduated with a degree in Business Administration. He is the son of Kenneth & Pamela J. Johnson.

Another 41 students are expected to graduate in August. Thirty-five members of the Class of 2016 graduated in December.

Wartburg, a four-year liberal arts college internationally recognized for community engagement, enrolls 1,537 students. Wartburg is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and named after the castle in Germany where Martin Luther took refuge disguised as a knight during the stormy days of the Reformation while translating the Bible from Greek into German.
