Cindy Osborn, a customer service representative at Farmers Savings Bank & Trust-Vinton, has made a quilt as a fund-raiser for 13-year-old Caleb Stewart, who is undergoing treatment for cancer.
Osborn volunteered to make the 70-by-100-inch quilt; Farmers Bank paid for the materials. The quilt is now on display at the bank.
Osborn used the Double Star Crossing pattern from Thimbleberries, and made the quilt of gold, sage, green, plum, mustard and red. She said the green and purple colors are often used as awareness for the types of cancer Caleb is fighting.
Raffle tickets are available at the bank for $1 each or six for $5. All proceeds go to Caleb's family. Tickets will also be sold during the Customer Appreciation Picnic on Thursday, June 24, the opening night of Party in the Park. The drawing will take place at 6:30 p.m. that evening. The winner does not need to be present.
